Was Dr. Myles Munroe A False Teacher??

Reader, next to CHRIST JESUS Himself Dr. Myles Munroe was one of my favored teachers. I haven't heard are ran across anyone who can touch his depth of knowledge. DR. MYLES MUNROE was respected internationally as an author, lecturer, teacher, coach, and leadership mentor. He has published numerous best-selling books including: Understanding Your Potential, The Purpose and Power of Love and Marriage, and Rediscovering the Kingdom. He's a legend in his own rights. I've mentioned Dr. Munroe in this space before.

I have always wonder just what and how Dr. Myles Munroe gotten the labeled False Teacher? What's exactly false about his teaching? Anyhow, Dr. Myles Munroe camp is selling his Rediscovering the Kingdom series as an e-course with a great price. So, I click on the sponsored ad when it came across my timeline and read the content and some of the comments underneath. Which I found troubling and disturbing.

In my opinion, there's nothing false about the teaching of Dr. Myles Munroe. The problem I find is that most folks who sit under false teachers for years and been indoctrinated with religion when truth is being taught they can't receive because of that religious spirit that has them blind spiritually. Was Dr. Myles Munroe a false teacher?

  1. "FALSENESS" To tell a bold-faced lie or to tell SOME of the truth and mix in lies or OPINION.

I believe that Myles Munroe presented a false view of the Bible. He preached that "The kingdom" was bringing Heaven down to earth. He said that material and spiritual wealth was part of "the kingdom."

No, that is Not what the Bible explicitly says!

Luke 18:24 "How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!"

Romans 14:17 "The kingdom of God is...righteousness and peace and joy."

Myles believed that our job is to bring Heaven down to earth and set up the kingdom. Whoops! That won't happen until Jesus returns to earth right before the war of Armageddon! And before the war of Armageddon, the Antichrist will be running this foul earth and beheading Christians every chance he gets! So why did Myles Munroe talk about bringing Heaven to earth?

His teachings always talked about being successful in life. But Myles Munroe NEVER talked about the holiness of God, being free from alcohol and drugs, casting out devils, avoiding pre-marital sex, bearing your own cross, arrogance, etc.

Dr. Myles Munroe's followers think that a real Christian drives around in Rolls Royces and eats filet mignon steak! Because they think that's what citizens of "the kingdom" are supposed to do. . . . That's not what the Bible says!

    1. I get so scared when people just take PEOPLE word for it and just label people false prophets. We ought to know those who labour among us but unless we have studied to show ourselves approved unto God, we need to stop our fingers from typing. I'm not putting my hand in fire for anyone but the bible warns us to not receive an accusation against an elder until certain conditions are met.

    2. I believe many people will have their beliefs and from being in his sermons he preached the message on all his sermons about the kingdom of God every preacher will be subject to rumors of being false but his works alone speaks for itself honoring the father til his time was down here. His life was of purpose and he lead a purpose filled life no scandals he was a child of obedience and left a legacy of knowledge he blessed more than he took and here in our country we will miss him.

    1. What frustrates me is the lack of boldness on the part of some pastors to call out and name false teachers. Paul did it, why don’t most pastors? I’ve always had a heart for doctrinal truth and I go to a large well-known reformed church where truth is preached week after week. But what I’ve learned over the years is that there is a great lack of discernment even among people who hear solid truth preached on a regular basis. And where I once would have thought that solid preaching and posts such as yours should be good enough to help people see which present-day teachers are teaching a false gospel and steer clear of them, experience has taught me not to assume everyone has this sort of discernment and can make that connection.

Too often I see people who have been under solid Biblical teaching reading books by false teachers or clueless that certain preachers are preaching a false gospel. This is one of the reasons I respect John MacArthur so much, he is not afraid to do this and I think out of protection for his flock, it is the right thing to do.

    2. Stop lying! Myles Munroe was not a False Prophet. I have never listened to any of his sermons. But in doing a search on him, I found that many pastors referred to him as a False Prophet Mainly because of this sermon. I listened to it and......I get what he's saying! I have to go through all of the scriptures. But, I don't believe he's downgrading JESUS. I feel that he is building up the importance of what Jesus came to do. Preach the Kingdom of God.

  3. When you TEACH that NO ONE WANTS TO HEAR ABOUT JESUS BLOOD ON THE CROSS.

    YOU ARE A FALSE TEACHER.

    1. What?? The blood of Jesus is the ONLY way to make it to Heaven! Myles Munroe and his platform should have been shut down immediately for saying that!

    2. Miss Ann,

      A resounding Y.E.S!!!

And I don't have to reference any of his books and/or sermons/teachings. Any believer in the LORD Jesus with an iota of discernment would see that clearly!

    3. He prophesied his own death, he knew when his divine purpose on this earth had been fulfilled, this is what ultimately made me a believer of him being a voice for the "true living God" that sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. He's from the Bahamas and has several videos on you tube that are mind blowing and will make you think about every religious/spiritual thing you've ever been taught or exposed to..God bless us

    4. @ Carter, Sir,

I've watched him preach on sex in marriage. It was locker room talk that left the women in the congregation cringing and the men laughing nervously. Trust and believe if a preacher decides to go too graphical that is flesh talking not the Spirit of God.

"God, who at sundry times and in diverse manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom he also made the worlds." Hebrews 1:1-2

Jesus the Son of God is the WORD of God in flesh. I'm sure you know the verse "In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God." (John 1:1). It is the WORD of God that sanctifies us and it is THE TRUTH. (John 17:17).

But if you go on ahead and praise a man to be "mind blowing"", beware that you don't worship idols.

It doesn't matter that Monroe prophesied his death, as long as he didn't teach the doctrine of Christ, he was false (2 John 9).

Do not put your faith in mortal man, believe in the LORD Jesus, and be saved (Acts 16:31)

The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall NOT want...

  4. I was privileged to have gotten to know Christ & His message through Dr. Myles' works. I believe he was a true teacher to re-introduce the idea that God had from the beginning of creation of mankind (The Kingdom of Heaven on earth), which is the core of why Christ died. This is the message that I believe was lost, which the Jews understood clearly, but missed who Christ was. I think they misunderstood that Myles mentioned that "Jesus did not preach -born again- as a gospel, which was only mentioned once to one to Nicodemus at night, as well as not preaching the cross as a gospel, though it was a means through which we would be redeemed." If quoted out of context it is always easy to write someone off.

  5. Dr. Myles was saying JESUS came to preach the Kingdom of God, not about himself. This pastor was not downgrading Jesus at all. Basically he's saying, continue preach what JESUS came to preach and teach them about Jesus and his purpose for coming in the first place, to preach the Kingdom. That's what I got from the link you have posted.

    1. Here are just a FEW EXAMPLES
      If Jesus preaching HIMSELF.

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I (Jesus) will raise him up at the last day. (‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭44‬ KJV)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me( Jesus). (‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬ KJV)
