Should We Encourage Interracial Marriage?

Reader, it's better to go through this life and to be love than to go through this life and to never have known love at all.  According to a national survey. 87% of Americans now favor  interracial marriage, up from 4% in 1958. Friend that's not a lot of progress.  The bible forbids intermarriage between believer and unbeliever, not between members of different ethnic groups. So why then in the year 2016 some in the Christian's community still think that God frowns on interracial marriages? Some people insist that the Bible meant for the races to remain pure, therefore prohibiting any kind of interracial marriage. Usually two biblical texts are drawn upon to support these views.

One is the story about Noah having three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth and the other is the Creation story. Where we read that God created everything “after its kind.” People say that this is the divine order of things in creation, that God made things according to their kind, and his intent was that they should stay according to their kind.

 Should We Encourage Interracial Marriage?

The Bible is clear that when both parties are believers (equally yoked), interracial marriage is not wrong. A Christian couple contemplating marriage must prayerfully and carefully consider the impact their marriage will have within their cultural context, their family relationships, future children and the society in which they live. A loving Christian couple may accommodate well to many kinds of differences between themselves. However, there are cultural contexts where interracial marriage poses significant barriers to acceptance of the marriage and/or the children of the marriage.

  1. THOSE THAT GOD HAS JOINED TOGETHER, LET NOONE SEPARATE.....BIBLE! I have commented on previous topics, so here goes AGAIN, as of today married 35 years to my GERMAN "Schatzy" (sweetheart.. in German) December 6, 1981, with 3 beautiful children (30, son; 22, son; 18, daughter). I GUESS I WOULD SAY GOD APPROVED. Does that answer the question?? In Christ Alone, RLR.

  3. Thank you Mrs Ann for showing a photo of a Black Woman in an interracial relationship. It proves that there are men in every race, who desire a Black woman.

  4. Thank you Lady Brock for showing a Bi Racial Family. It's a Blessing to find a Man a real Man of any nationality to love a Woman of Color. The Bible is talking about being unequally yoked. A Saved Woman or Man with an Unsaved Man or Woman. White and Black Ministries that preach any other doctrine are preaching HATRED and a FALSE DOCTRINE.

  8. Just because A Black Woman finds LOVE with a REAL MAN of another NATIONALITY. Doesn't mean she's s Bed Wench. That's a sad and ignorant comment to make. What about all of the Black Men that choose a woman of another nationality. Get Real. Love . Real Love has no Color.
