Meagan Good-Franklin Says God Answered Her Prayer With New "Foxy Brown" Role????
Reader whatever happened to originality? And why God got to be in the midst of foolishness? Plus, I can't understand why people can't leave classic movies alone they don't need a remake of this movie.
Anyhow Meagan Good-Franklin, took to social media yesterday, after it was announced that she had secured the role of Foxy Brown in the revamp and rebooted FOXY BROWN tv series, to say that God answered her prayer. I'm thinking to myself may be her husband DeVon Franklin is the one to thank for the answer prayer this time.
I don't care for Meagan Good-Franklin the actress cause the young lady just can't act, but that doesn't mean I want to see her fail at this role. In my opinion she has some big shoes to fill. The online news buzz surrounding Devon Franklin giving Meagan the starring role in the new revamped version of 'Foxy Brown' ain't going over to well with the social media crowd. Word on the street is that Meagan Good looks nothing like a strong black woman.
Empire co-executive producer Malcolm Spellman and Hand of God creator Ben Watkins will write the TV version, a modern reimagining of the 1974 movie and the larger-than-life Foxy Brown character, originally played by Pam Grier in what is still recognized the ultimate portrayal of a strong and powerful African-American woman.
Taking on the Foxy role has been a passion for Good. She also will serve as a producer on the series, executive produced by her husband, producer Franklin via his Franklin Entertainment, Krantz through his Flame Ventures, showrunners Spellman and Watkins as well as Good’s managers at Untitled Entertainment, Jason Weinberg & Evan Hainey. Drew Comins of Flame will serve as co-executive producer.
