Six Reasons Young Black People Are Leaving The Church!!

Reader, this was a very interesting read although this is an old post it's still have stirred up the online community. It's a sad perspective from the millennials and what they believe Christianity involves. I'm seriously disturbed how loosely the term "judging" is tossed around in reality what is being said don't you dare hold me accountable and responsible for my actions. I definitely agree that young people today are looking for a person that will not judge them for what they do. They are also looking for someone to answer their questions without saying they are out of order. While this is sad to see, I'm not surprised. From Adam until now no one wants to man up! Maybe just maybe this partly why the world is in the condition it's in today. The thing that is scorned is the very thing has and will save.

6 Reasons Young Black People Are Leaving The Church

  1. Man, That Elijah would say "bye- get out, in fact do not come back!"

  2. When leaving in the last days is the one main reason. The Book of Gen, Daniel and Revelation are all connected.

  3. Miss Ann,

The young people have no one to teach them how to study to show themselves approved unto God, workmen that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

The older generation is not providing wisdom to the young generation and so they have no knowledge that it is important to know understanding and NOT to forsake the law of God (Proverbs 4).

The older generation is NOT training up the young in the way they should go that when they are old, they will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). It is sadder that the older generation do not know what the way is.

Going from the postings on this blog, there is always something going on in church: “Elevate God’s Leading Ladies”, “First Ladies High Tea” and “Generals of Deliverance”. But the importance of fearing God and keeping his commandments is not emphasized (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

One of the previous Mega Fest Conferences had Kerry Washington (who plays a role of a corporate ho in “Scandal”) “testifying” of how God had given her a platform to perform such a role. Disappointing does not describe what I felt when Serita and Sarah Jakes where gushing over this – disgusting would do, I suppose (should I even mention how Serita introduced Nicole Ari Parker as the one who has a hot husband [Boris Kodjoe] while fanning herself? Totally disgusting!!!). The trend of all these conferences and gatherings is to have celebrities headlining or featuring (ref to the ladies High Tea advert that has Ken Lattimore in attendance). The more people, the more sale of conference products, books, sermons and Knickknacks. But the young generation is left empty. We need to go back to the word of God. “In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” (John 1:1 - 2). It is God’s word that is true (John 17:17), for it has been tried and tested (Psalm 12:6).

The WORD of God is for life, preservation, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. (Psalm 119)

The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not want…
