Reader  interesting read! We have got to reach out to this generation. We have to lovingly mentor this generation. There world is way different that what some of us had. We lead by example. What happen from one generation to the next? Where did the ball get dropped? If he isn't the center of our life, walk, the way we entreat an react then how do we except Him to be theirs?!! "The psychic services industry — which includes astrology, aura reading, mediumship, tarot-card reading and palmistry, among other metaphysical services — grew 2% between 2011 and 2016. It is now worth $2 billion annually, according to industry analysis firm IBIS World".

One Of The Biggest Christian Bookstore Chains In The Country Won't Be Carrying Evangelical Motivational Speaker Jen Hatmaker Books Any More.

Reader, Lifeway is full of it, could it be that Jen Hatmaker, didn't tow the party line on the presidential candidate? I beleive it is!  Jen Hatmaker is a prominent Christian author, speaker, and television personality.   I like Jen, and I read her work, and follow her on Facebook. A while back, she said she loves gay people but does not believe in same-sex marriage. So while she may affirm the relationships, she does not affirm the marriages. She said this in a post about being asked to speak to a large audience and those inviting her wanted to know her stance.  Just think there are many books being sold today in Christian bookstores that are dangerous to our spiritual health, but ain't nobody checking for them.

Anyhow, one of the country largest Christian retailers will no longer support this lady's message of love. According to Ms. Hatmaker, an evangelical motivational speaker who supports Black Lives Matter:  "Donald Trump has consistently normalized violence, sexual deviance, bigotry, and hate speech. "I wouldn’t accept this from my seventh-grade son, much less from a potential leader of the free world." Reader that comment right there just might be the real reason for the purging of her books and work from Lifeway bookstore.

  1. I read the interview with Jen and she says that she doesn't believe in same sex marriage but she would attend one of her friends same sex marriage. That's like saying, "I don't eat pork but I love bacon." And there is no way that an LGBTQ relationship can be holy. Just like an adulterous relationship can't be holy. Nothing that is against God's word can be or will ever be holy.

    1. Lifeway is full of it, they promote all these false teachers and preachers with not problem. There are many other false teachers whose books are being sold in Christian bookstores that we need to avoid: John Bevere, Juanita Bynum, Morris Cerullo, Kim Clement, Kenneth Copeland, Paul Crouch, Creflo Dollar, Jesse Duplantis, Kenneth Hagin, Marilyn Hickey, Benny Hinn, Rodney Howard-Browne, T.D. Jakes, Bishop Eddie L. Long, Joyce Meyer, Myles Munroe, Steve Munsey, Mike Murdock, Joel Osteen, Rod Parsley, Peter Popoff, Fred Price, R.W. Shambach, Robert Tilton, Paula White, Ed Young and a whole host of others. Why haven't they ditch these authors books?Jen Hatmaker is being single out because she spoke out against Trump, but is in support of Black Lives Matter, gay marriage, and more.

    2. Betty Sue Woods, I agree with you, LifeWay has a long ways to go to get rid of all of its heretics. Ray Charles could've seen what Lifeway is trying to do here. The lady don't support their candidate for president so they are trying to punish her by not selling her material in their stores. They also have problems with Beth Moore, they just don't know how to get rid of her.

    3. All this talk about "ridding" the bookstore of all things you have some disagreement with is crazy. You actually only have one and one item only. The Bible. Straight text. No study notes or commentary. But, on second thought, you wouldn't even have that, because you wouldn't be able to agree on which translation to use. Of course, LifeWay would choose the HCSB, but you wouldn't like that either. Guess you should then learn to read Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic to read the original text. Oh but you can't do that because there are copies of copies of original manuscripts. Point being, if you want a LifeWay to shop at, there are going to be plenty of things that "offend" your particular brand of faith.

Second thought, and I will surely be condemned roundly by 98% of you, never, ever, and I mean ever have a doctrinal thought contrary to the Holy Baptist Faith & Message. You will certainly be condemned to hell if you do. That's What Jesus Would Do.

    4. Look… no need to spout off a bunch of useless garbage to deduce we can’t trust the Bible because what we have today are copies. You are no Bible Origin expert, but they have been / are experts who will tell you that we do have a BIBLE TODAY that is close to the original copies. So stop at you attempt to spew out a bunch of garbage. It is a known fact that 1) The LORD said he will PRESERVE HIS WORD - The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Psalms 12:6-7) and 2) HE DID SO by a miracle, to provide for us a translation using over 2500 manuscripts HE ALLOWED to be KEPT AND STORED FOR over hundreds of years.

So all your trash talk, about the Hebrew and Greek and ARAMAIC means absolutely nothing. You don’t have to be a Language EXPERT, to know that the translator were NOT wrong, but INSPIRED when the deduced to write, translate copy (whatever you want to call it) simple verses like Leviticus 18:22 “ Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.” AND
Leviticus 20:13 - If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them. This has nothing to do with one’s “brand of faith”, so no need for subjectivity to be put iinto the equation. HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN, it is AN ABOMINATION, it is UNATURAL, IT IS WRONG, not matter how much GREEK or HEBREW or ARAMIC, you or anyone else know, or don’t know. This has nothing to do with Donald Trump. This has nothing to do with folks selecting a “brand”. This has to do with GOD and HIS WORD that He promised to preserve, WHICH HE DID, and this lady who willfully is in direct violation of HIS COMMANDS. GET OUTTA HERE!!!

  2. This has nothing to do with Donald Trump. It's not Trump who she is going against, she is going against the God of the Bible. He's the one that determined homosexuality to be an abomination.

  3. Sorry Ann, this is supposed to be a Christian blog. Everyone here should KNOW Bible believers will show some distain about this lady and her LBGT stance. Folks are not going to be sucked into her political comments about Trump to be the #1 driver for their agreement / non-agreement of this Book Store axing this woman. BTW, you noticed how when asked about the faults of Trump and Hilary, she has a number of things to say about Trump ,but her list about Hilary was miniscule. Not that it matters to me, because I personally believe both of them are pawns (just like Obama) in the game controlled by those NEO-CON Jews. GET OUTTA HERE!

    1. So correct Anonymous. This mess is so deep it's ridiculous. That's what satan does, deflect away from the real root of the problem and the controllers of the world. And just to think that folks believe that Denver Int'l Airport artwork, is just artwork and freedom of expression. smh. Amazing. Wake up folks. Oh and in your words Anonymous, Get outta here!! LOL...

    2. Loved what she said. This election has brought out so much ugly and tough issues and she carefully and perfectly addressed them. My same thoughts and concerns.

    3. What about this election in particular, and what tough issues have been brought out? Would you say tough issues were bought our when OBAMA (a black man) ran?

  4. I love, love, love Jen's sweet, tender heart. That she acknowledges changes in her thinking that come from prayer, from searching and receiving information from many sources, and having an expanded view of the world. She speaks clearly, from her heart and reflects the thoughts and voices of many of us. I see a woman living as Jesus intended. I can't thank you enough Jen Hatmaker.
