Why Are White Evangelical Christians Silent About Police Violence???

Reader Terence Crutcher was a 40-year-old pastor shot and killed by Tulsa officer Betty Shelby. I don’t even have words… On this past Friday night, Terence Crutcher died at a hospital after being shot by the police. He was unarmed and had his hands up. The police murdered him in cold blood.

I heard a white preacher preach recently, that he recounted having been stopped by the police with a weapon in his glove compartment. He talked about how jovial the officer was, how they laughed together, how he even wanted to invite the officer to dinner. He said something to the effect of these young men need to comply with the police in order to save their own lives.

This INNOCENT pastor and father of four children whose vehicle broke down in the middle of the streets, honestly thought he could seek help from police officers.... that maybe the police would park behind his vehicle with their lights flashing to avoid any accident.... BUT the pastor would never imagined that the police officers would be his executioners... instead of #SERVE and #PROTECT him, they mercilessly gunned him down and murdered him in the middle of the street.

  1. When are people going to learn that it is not a race problem it is a sin problem. We live in a fallen world and the bible tells us:

    2 Corinthians 11:14
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

    2 Timothy 3:13
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

    1 John 4:1-4
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

    2 Peter 2:1-3
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

    1 John 2:9-11
9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. 11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

    1 John 4:7
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

    1 John 4:20-21
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

    1. It's a skin problem, you can miss us with that tired cliche... which doesn't mean anything.

    2. It is obvious you have no spiritual discenment.

    3. Ira dude you sound like an old fool. Why would we blacks expect support from the same group that enslaved us and use the Bible to manipulate us? Ira can you answer that with your bible?

    4. Ira are you serious? White christianity has most ALWAYS been the fertile ground for the most bigoted of racist rhetoric.

    5. First of all there is no such thing as "White Christianity". You are either Christians or you are not:

      Galatians 3:28
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

      Colossians 3:11
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Just because a person or church say they are Christian, does that mean they are so. You cannot make a blanket statement about what you call the "White Church". The bible gies us clear description of what a Christian is and Jesus tells us how to distinguish a Christian

      Matthew 7:15-20
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

    6. But there is such a thing as white christian because the religion originated in Rome and was used to conquer the rest of the word look up the history of christianity the real origins and you'll realised the bible is fiction it was plagiarised from Egyptian theology and used to subjugate you're people yet you choose to defend it till the end. Keep quoting scripture and paying tithe to church because you owe your pastors that the bentley and building fund etc etc after all Jesus ran a multibillion dollar church industry Jesus himself was a Christian He came up with Christianity wrote so many things that we can look back on and attribute to him oh no that never happened it's made up Jesus was here but we can't find a single writing of his talk less of the old testament there is no record of any Jew who was ever ensalved in Egypt no exodus nothing we have soooo much info on Egypt but yet no proof of Jewish enslavemnt in Egypt something is amiss please question thing don't the bible as historical fact it is not none of what in the Bible can be proven to have existed it's all made up and plagiarised.

  2. Romans 16:17
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

    1 Corinthians 1:10-13
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

The bible tells us that there will be false teachers that mask themselves as light in the church. So no matter if it is the "White Church" (smh) with racism or "Black Church" (smh again) with prosperity preaching, sleeping with women in hte congregation and other sins. The bile tells us that there will be those who say they are Christ but are not.

The bible also says that we should love the bretheren and if we do not love the brethernen wheather white or blask or any other nationality then we are in darkness and not in the light of Christ.

Paul admonished the church at Corinth for causing division, when we divide the church no matter if it is denominational or race it is not of God. Questions, what denomination wa the churches in Acts? I will wait for the answer.

Lastly the bible says this about our enemies:

    Luke 6:27-38
27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Now that is being a Christian!! Now let all who are a part of the real church (body) of Jesus Christ say Amen!!!

    1. Gotta understand Ira, most people will not be able to pull off Luke 6:27. I promise you that, but you are correct. The Word of God will always stand. The Christians I saw on-line being lowered into a cauldron of water in a cage to drown to death by ISIS is the essence of what being ready for what's to come is all about. Folks ain't ready man.

    2. One more thing. They'll say, you're manipulating scripture and trying to prove something in your own eyes that doesn't exist. smh. But yes racism is real, however, when one hates someone else because of their skin-tone, that is sin also, but others want to flip it and say it's a "skin problem" which puts the focus solely on skin tone only.

    3. Thank you timezone for your response. As always your responses are right on and biblically sound. I wonder if the state of the church is due to a total lack of study of God's word. The bible says:

      Matthew 4:4
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

      Luke 4:4
4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

      Deuteronomy 8:3
3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.

We know that the church eat their daily earthly food, but I wonder how many church people study the word of God daily. If the bible isn't studied daily the church will be easily swayed to have these carnal feelings.

Now I am not saying that the killings are justified or there should not be an outrage. When I see what is going on in society to many black man and women as well as others who fall victims to these thoughtless crimes, my first thought is to be emotional stirred. But thank God for his Holy Spirit that gives me discernment of the times that I live in, so I pray for people instead. People need to understand there is no middle ground either you serve sin or you serve God, there is no middle ground.

      Romans 6:16
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

  3. C'mon Ms.Ann, you expect the same church that supported slavery and Jim Crow to care about this? C'mon, you no better!

  4. White Christians have been killing black people for hundreds of years, so why would they really give a damn about us now?

  5. I love what Bishop Jakes had to say about this unlawful killing of this brother. White folks are all upset about it.

    1. "If all lives mattered, we would all be as outraged." -Bishop Jakes #dropsmic

  6. Gotta throw my 2cents in. First of all, saying that there's a sin problem within the current world's system, never has been and never will be a tired cliche' as I read above. With that said, racism has always been a problem. It was a problem for my man MOSES!! LOL. In Numbers 12:1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. Now if Moses had problems back then, you know we gone have issues today. Here's where we are folks. Jakes actually said something of truth, "If all lives mattered, we would all be as outraged." But the full truth of the matter has to be told, as in Matt 24, especially 24:12 - And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. So that word "many" says, whether it's white cops killing innocent blacks or blacks killing innocent blacks (yea I said it) as was Dwayne Wade's cousin was shot straight up in her head pushing her baby, the Bible covers the masses. Yes, white Christians should be outraged and some are. I witnessed a minister online expressing his disgust and also that wonderful young white lady who has a ministry with her husband. She was extremely tearful and I really believe she wasn't faking at all. Look, the world is being thrown into chaos and like I said 200 times before, many will not know how to react. Some will get with the Hebrew Israelite movement & other cults and not talk about SIN which many are starting to dismiss and come up with their own definition of what sin is. Racism is a sin and therefore it connects to that "Sin Problem" as mentioned above. Unfortunately as talked about in Matt 24 and Revelation, chaos, confusion, and calamity will abound. So prepare in which many ministers, white and black are not informing their congregation of. And yes, my heart goes out to Terence and his family and justice needs to be executed. Along with the black brothers that shoot as if they're in the Wild West in Chicago and could careless if they hit another black person. It's outta control.... Lord we'll continue to wait on you. You're timing.

  7. TD Jakes is spot on in his critique. You can shout all lives matter yet close your eyes to a black person being killed and get upset when someone speaks on black lives matter

    1. Since we are dogging out the white evangelicals for their silence when white police kills blacks, why not dump on them for their silence on the murders of black on black crime in Chicago. I mean after all all lives matters right. And why not dump on all those black preachers for their silence on the millions of murders of black babies through the killing machines called abortion. I know, because it's a woman's choice to murder her baby. Those little innocent human lives matters too right? Personally I think the Michael Brown, Alton Sterling stories are hoaxes. If you take a good look at the Alton Sterling video, you will notice several flaws, one officers in close proximity of the other cops gunfire for one. And as soon as the shooting takes place the person recording moves the camera away. It appears the blood is not even real. And even with the Charleston 9, one of the lady was my cousin. And there seems to be a lot of suspicion when talking to some of my other relatives about the shooting. I wouldn't be surprised if the shooting of this black supposed preacher is miffed.

    2. OMG sorry but you're an idiot you've helped make her point the white Christians don't care about all live matter because to them all lives don't matter they never speak on black on black crime when they do it's to say that's your problem you fix as if they had no hand in it black and white were always on equal footing black weren't shoved in the ghettos let ignore the plethora of facts that show black built country and then shoved to the side to start from nothing. And then to drag in abortion as if the real abortion doesn't take place when you force a woman who is incapable of having a child todo so then say you're on your own figure it out yourselves. The way black ppl defend the church is unbelievable what was used to enslave your ancestors for centuries you're now defending not realising Christianity is plagiarised from Egyptian religion... but I digress Anyway let just call it a "sin problem" since you refuse to actually define said "sin" as "racism" but no that's too uncomfortable and uneasy typical
