Keeping A Legacy Alive: How Dr. Myles Munroe's Children Are Keeping His Legacy Alive!

Reader, does what we start in life die with us? Most pastors today believes the church is their family business and they expect their children to take over once they are no more. I'm seeing with my own eyes the way some pastors who are in the public eye raise their kids really do matter. I'm guessing also the key to a standup child is to let your child be instead of forcing them to be who they are not.

With the November 2014 news that Dr. Myles Munroe and his wife Ruth had died in a plane crashed shocked Christians around the world. In addition to devastating their children, it shook the congregation Dr. Munroe pastored in Nassau, Bahamas. Today the children and his church are growing with a new passion to keep Dr. Munroe's legacy alive.

Check out this great interview here:

    5. Dear Miss Woods,

      Define "hate" in biblical terms.

Hint: juxtapose Monroe's legacy with that of our LORD Jesus Christ (who had no form or majesty that we might esteem him. [Prophet Isaiah]).

    6. That's kinda like the only word she knows. You are not going to get a reply back from her.

    7. Anonymous you got jokes, haha.

    8. Aee Anonymous. I told you she was not going to reply back. Instead she fake to deflect to say that I'm joking, after she used an old silly word like "hate". Now Betty Sue, show us that YOU ARE NOT A JOKE, and oblige the request made to define seemingly your favorite "hate". While doing so, make sure you don;t embarrass yourself more than you already have.

    9. Betty Sue Woods, I agree with you....there's a bunch of haters on here.“The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without a purpose.”

    10. The Bible has a lot to say about hate. It notes that people can hate discipline ( Psalm 50:17 ), peace ( Psalm 120:6 ), and knowledge ( Prov 1:22 ). This sense of "hatred" carries the meaning of "loathing." A person so characterized is viewed in a negative sense, often labeled as a "fool." Some people hate anything that is good ( Mic 3:2 ). They are viewed as "evil." They may hate God's people as well. The psalmist tells us, "I suffer from those who hate me" ( 9:13 ). A strong dislike surfaces for a variety of reasons, all encompassed by the term "hatred." Jesus accepted that believers would be hated, pronouncing a blessing on those so hated ( Luke 6:22 ). In fact, one mark of a disciple derives from being hated ( Luke 14:26 ). Of course, the world hated Jesus first ( John 7:7 ). True disciples hold an attitude of love toward those who hate them ( Luke 6:27 ). This hatred of God's people appears to be an inevitable fact of life ( Psalm 25:19 ; 35:19 ; 41:7 ; 83:2 ; Prov 9:8 ). God may be involved on occasion in turning people to hate his people ( Psalm 105:25 ). This idea attests how everything fits into God's plan in some way.

    11. Nice Try Drive By. I see your little game to define hate in you one-sided way. I noticed with all your little "whining defining" of the word, you conveniently omitted verses like:

Psa. 119:104 “Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way."

      AND

Psa. 119:128 “Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way”.

These are two other verses. There are the verses that specifically mention the six things the LORD hates as well. I see you stayed away from these as well when giving you definition.

LOOK…the Anonymous person who posted first, mentioned a legacy of heresy. Another posted Miles own false statements about Jesus, saying Jesus is not the gospel. THIS IS A LIE and one of the things God hates is a lying tongue! THIS IS OUTRIGHT HERESY, and you can brush over this all you want and quote Miles little quips.

Mile also lied to say " "The Bible never said that Jesus really died". He told another lie sayiing “The main reason/focus for Jesus to come to earth was not to go to the cross".

Get it Drive-By , this is HERESY. Maybe you need to look up the word “HERESY”.

Nobody “hatin” on Miles. And like ya girl Betty Sue “ANONYMOUS” Woods like to charge, because we jealousy of him. If this is not the most immature thing any grown person could say, Betty Sue took the prize. GET OUTTA HERE Drive –By…NEXT!!!

    13. Let's juxtapose for a little while:

Jesus was compassionate to the crowds that followed him and he fed them with the WORD and also bread and fish.

People had to part with $$$ to hear and watch Monroe speak (about NOTHING in particular), and/or buy his products.

Jesus declared that the Son of man had no were to lay his head though the foxes had holes...

      Monroe was jetset.

To sum it all Jesus said that it would be easy for a camel to enter through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to get into to the kingdom of heaven.

      Monroe was balling.

Jesus told his disciples that they would be persecuted for the sake of His name.

Monroe enjoyed the company of the elite. He was NEVER persecuted.

I see the "Monroens" here are quoting his phrases like they are life. Psalm 119 puts all that to rest. The WORD of God is for life, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and preservation.

And you better learn to be obedient to his WORD!

If you follow sinful men, you have yourselves to blame. Jesus is the way, the truth and life. NO ONE can get to the Father any other way.

PS Monroe was NOT the Good Shepherd.

    14. I believe leaving a legacy is not always about money or property being passed down, but also the impact you leave on generations to come.
My grandmother was the sweetest woman I have ever known. She left a legacy of kindness deeply instilled in her children and grandchildren. We loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed.

  3. Anonymous I'm not going to go back and forth in Ms. Ann comment section but according to Dr.Munroe, “A Solid character will reflect itself in consistent behavior, while poor character will seek to hide behind deceptive words and actions.” I think you get the picture.

    1. Yup...I get it. You are hiding behind your deceptive use of the word "Hate". Nobody going back and forth. Just wanted you to define the biblical word "hate" if you are going to judge folks as such. Now we have Drive-by caught up in this foolishness.

    2. YUP you're right about that, it is Myles, not Miles. Feel better now.

  4. Anonymous according to Dr. Munroe, “People generally fall into one of three groups: the few who make things happen, the many who watch things happen, and the overwhelming majority who have no notion of what happens. Every person is either a creator of fact or a creature of circumstance. He either puts color into his environment, or, like a chameleon, takes color from his environment.”

  5. Hi everyone. I so remember those days of being at another church and being forced & intimidated to fork out $50, $70 sometimes $150 to these events whenever it was Creflo or Myles Monroe. Those days were something else, lol. Ok. When Dr. Myles would come & visit, he did good teaching, but there were many times I along with so many others would leave scratching a hole in our heads trying to figure out, "What on earth is this man talking about?" haha. Alot of his teaching was sooo analytical and he in my humble opinion gave waaaaay too many hypothetical teachings that yes would make you think on the biblical side, but at the same time I would be saying, "dude, just give me the Word and keep it simple." Ok, here's what got me and I believe this is what others are referring to. I don't believe they are "hating." (Wordly term, smh, lol.) But they are simply doing a Romans 16:17 - "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them." Especially when heretical teaching comes into play. Again, this one got me when Myles talked about what people need to hear. When his lips touch , THE BLOOD OF JESUS! I was like, man... what is you doing?! The Kingdom of God and the Blood of Jesus work hand and hand. They both coincide together. Either way, IT'S THE BLOOD OF JESUS THAT SAVES AND IT'S THE BACKBONE OF WHY WE'RE NOT ALL BURNING IN HELL NOW! And let me say this concerning this video, I ain't taking nothing outta context which is what some may think. Between 1:18 - 1:60 is new age/freemason talk. I'm serious. Check it out ya'll if you've never seen this. He literally says that eth good news is not Jesus, it's the Kingdom. And yes folks like me would be looking at him like he has 3 heads sideways. This is the type of talk that makes your head spin around 360 degrees. Ridiculousness: smh... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bb5oE5VQLdo

    1. All the vague, confusing, and trickery language mixing, hyperbole and "fool"-osophy is what FALSE TEACHERS DO. The gospel is a simple message. The Bible is clear the general application of living. These type want to muddy the message and will slip in just enough to draw the crowd and appease men. GET OUTTA HERE...NEXT!!!

    4. Lol. I get blown away how folks don't see everything and their spiritual surroundings. Check it. At 2:33, this joker says, Jesus did not preach himself. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!?!!!? Lol. I'm not even a preacher out the pulpit, I'm just a keyboardist playing keys and worshiping my Jesus. What does John 14:1 say? “Let not your heart be troubled. Ye believe in God; believe also in ME." Oh and here's the off the chain verse here my bros & sis... John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, “I am THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by MEEEEEEE." Yes, Jesus was the ultimate in humility however, Uh... I think Jesus was preaching himself kinda sorta in those verses. He is truly the greatest of all time. Period.... smh.....

    5. Now Betty SUE Woods. don't be silly. You said you did not want to go back and forth, yet you choose to come back with your silly little replies. As a Christian, you should be able to define the biblical word "hate" as you so often judge others as being a "hata". You choose not to give a biblical meaning cause you'd rather choose to be hip and use the word like those youngster in the streets. I hope those young black folks aren't looking to you for any spiritual guidance.

And one more thing. Just because you identify as "Betty Sue Woods", you know that you are still coming across as "ANONYMOUS" to us, don't you? O I guess since you identify by that name, we are to accept that you are the person you say you are. GET OUTTA HERE! DONT NOBODY HERE KNOWS YOU...betty sue or no betty sue. COME ON WITH IT...I EMBRACE THE HATE...

    6. YUP Timezone. "The Good news is not JESUS", he says. These folks could care less his statement here, because they could care less about Jesus. They would rather hear quotes like "the biggest tragedy is not death, but life without a purpose" from Miles, than to hear Jesus HIMSELF saying "I am the way the truth and the life" and "I will abide in you, if you abide in me". What Jesus says means nothing to them, and deserves to be put on the backburner to statements made by the "Great Monroe".

      Delete
    7. YES Timezone...HE IS GOD!!!

    8. Every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess he is Lord. End the end, when it's all said and done, Jesus will be the final word towards those you are witnessing to. They may not wanna hear it, that is correct, but I ain't confessing Allah to them, I ain't confessing Buddha, or any new age philosophy based off of Freemasonry... in the end, I'm gonna say Jesus, I don't care what anybody says.

      Delete
  7. I do have an understanding that you don't wanna beat anybody down with any type of Bible preaching at work, but there's a way to bring someone in to the Kingdom, yes, but again, in the end, sooner or later, you gone say Jesus cause that's how you get saved. Period.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Those who claim that there are Monroe haters should test the spirit Monroe had.

Any believer in the LORD Jesus would know that Monroe's preaching wasn't biblical. There is a video of his on social media where he was preaching on sex. Without delving too much into the details, his talk sounded more like locker room talk. The ladies in the congregation were obviously embarrassed and uncomfortable and the men were lol.

Wondering how many souls were led down the wide road of destruction.

Beware of false preachers people, be very ware.

    Blessings!
