When You Pledge To A Fraternity Or A Sorority, You Are Pledging To A DEMON???
Reader, this is one of those hot-button issues that affect Christians, especially when it comes to the age-old question, "Should Christians pledge Fraternities/Sororities."
Mack Major have posted this hot-button article questioning the black Greek organizations root that's going viral. In my humble opinion, he's absolutely correct! If the origin of these organizations cannot be traced back to Jesus they are not of God, and anything that is not of God is not of God, no matter what spin folks try to put on it.
My question has always been this: What can they do outside of the Body that can't be done within? Can we not accomplish the same "good deeds" that are accomplished by them? God is a jealous God and He won't tolerate any god being put before Him, and that's precisely what's required when you pledge. Funny how Christians will defend this!
To all BGLO's...Black frats...Black Greeks...Black sorors, Black masons, and Eastern Stars: do you know the roots - the REAL roots - of the black Greek organizations you have pledged to? Ever wonder why they make you 'pledge' - which means to vow or to swear an oath - just to join in the first place? Ever wonder why they're called the Pan-Hellenic Council? And have you considered what the spiritual ramifications are of joining such organizations, even if you are a Christian? No shade - I actually respect your dedication. I just wish you were first more informed! Perhaps you would NOT have pledged!
