When You Pledge To A Fraternity Or A Sorority, You Are Pledging To A DEMON???

Reader, this is one of those hot-button issues that affect Christians, especially when it comes to the age-old question, "Should Christians pledge Fraternities/Sororities."

Mack Major have posted this hot-button article questioning the black Greek organizations root that's going viral. In my humble opinion, he's absolutely correct! If the origin of these organizations cannot be traced back to Jesus they are not of God, and anything that is not of God is not of God, no matter what spin folks try to put on it.

My question has always been this: What can they do outside of the Body that can't be done within? Can we not accomplish the same "good deeds" that are accomplished by them? God is a jealous God and He won't tolerate any god being put before Him, and that's precisely what's required when you pledge. Funny how Christians will defend this!

To all BGLO's...Black frats...Black Greeks...Black sorors, Black masons, and Eastern Stars: do you know the roots - the REAL roots - of the black Greek organizations you have pledged to? Ever wonder why they make you 'pledge' - which means to vow or to swear an oath - just to join in the first place? Ever wonder why they're called the Pan-Hellenic Council? And have you considered what the spiritual ramifications are of joining such organizations, even if you are a Christian? No shade - I actually respect your dedication. I just wish you were first more informed! Perhaps you would NOT have pledged!

  1. Yep. Folks get mad and ready to fight, lol. But you're pledging to a false god. Even if you don't mean it, the Word says, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." And on top of that, when you get in the organizations, you're not exactly an angel when you venture off into those wild and off the chain parties. Sex on every hand, cussin' like there's no tomorrow, hey... ya'll know what I'm talking about. Just being honest. I had brothers tried to get me in it. I said naw bruh, I'm good. I'll just keep playing my keys at churches and worshiping the Lord.

    1. Whatever. When you can recite the pledges, then you may begin to be heard...ignorant people. These organizations espouse the spirit of Christ more than most churches.

Just like in churches who have liars, whoremongers, embezzlement, and all manner of evil, you choose what you want to do. Nothing new under the sun.

Ya'll make us seem so much more exciting/decadent than we are. You hype us up and when people join, they are disillusioned. Eventually many drop off because they aren't ready to be of service to mankind.

I've seen more of the things you've named in church than in our organizations.

    3. You are so right Hypnos. These are joke churches. Laodicean churches which is the era we are in now as in the book of Revelation. These are the lukewarm churches that say one thing and do another and look at the bible as a history book or even some of the stories in the Bible as just good notable moral lessons that aren't fact. And alot of these churches don't even possess the spirit of Christ like for example to give to others like frats and sororities do. But here's the problem. The organizations may possess the spirit of Christ when it comes to giving to others in the communities unlike the joke churches that are out there, but trust me, these organizations don't possess the Holy Spirit. I believe it's impossible to combine the good with the bad and call it righteous. When I got in the mic at the last church I was in and finished playing keys and said, "This is laying on my spirit like never before, but for those in church who are involved in secret society groups, freemasons, frats/sororities and you've taken an oath to other gods outside of the one and true god, you're putting a curse on your family and your generation." You would've thought a bomb dropped in that church! LOL! 2 people who were sitting on the front row got up and walked out. The pastor got nervous and said uh uh uh uh... yes brother but there are other sins.. lol. He was scared cause these were probably his biggest givers, haha. I digress. Ok, it's just my belief that these organizations such as frats and freemasonary aren't the boy scouts and likewise on the ladies side. I just follow the Word. That's my belief. As far as the oaths/swearing that are taken? Well, this is what I belief; Matt 5:33-37; 33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:

35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
Matt 6:1 (ESV)6 “Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.
As far as the sex parties, cussin', dancing to all matter of evil music when these parties go down. It's my opinion, that's a no brainer. God bless.

    1. Hi Hypnos. I say this with absolute humility and wanting to just render understanding and I so promise you I'm not trying to be smart, but just a brother in Christ to you in love. You mentioned how we're ignorant of such things when it comes to frats and sororities. Well, I do know about the hazing rituals, the partying, the sleeping around. And yes, it goes on in the church. Trust me, I know. lol. However, when one finds a REAL church (and they're hard to find) one will come to the realization of the true spiritual things of God and his laws. Example; I do understand that many of the rituals that are held behind closed doors if you will, has a Bible present. And even some scriptures are read. This in effect makes the members feel somewhat ok and warm and fuzzy inside saying, "See, we got God too." Here's the problem. True woman of God, Gail Grey denounced her association with the AKA. Here's what one of the statements she denounced, “To thee, O Alpha Kappa Alpha, we pledge our hearts, our minds, our strength, to foster thy teachings and obey thy laws and make thee supreme in service to all mankind." Hmmmmmm.. Now let's check out Mark 12:20 “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment.” Sounds like a total conflict there. My heart was broken when I found out about the Cal State students that died during a "Unity Ritual" pledging AKA near the Pacific Ocean. The family of one of the students who's name is Kristin High are suing the school and the organization. And the hazing that goes on? Lord. There was one I checked out online and it wasn't fake. These BROTHERS were passing a raw egg around to each other, mouth to mouth and the last BROTHER had to swallow the egg. Now, I had to wake some folks up out there who just read this to help one understand and ask themselves the question. How on earth is God in this? I definitely understand anyone who has pledge there heart and soul into these organizations, but prayerfully be opened to the seriousness of who God is and how the devil will use anything to have Christians straddle the fence.

    2. Thank you for sharing. Ypu gentleness and concern shows through. We will have to agree to disagree here. I personally dont see anything wrong with pledging yourself to such ideals. I dont see that it in contradiction to the word of God. Neither do I interpret the bible literally as I did in my pentacostal upbringing. At some point, as adults, we have to learn to think critically about the word of God. Thanks timezone.

  4. As a Christian, who gets the glory for the good works of the frat/soro. Is it apolla, athena, bastet atlas, anubis, thoth, the sphinx, horus, or centaur? All are the false god mentors of the "divine nine.
