Lord Have Mercy: Gospel Singers To Join Puff Daddy Bad Boy Reunion Tour!

Reader the weeds are spreading and separating from the Harvest. Puff Daddy's Bad Boy reunion tour is doing more than bringing some of the biggest names in 90s Hip Hop back together, with the music mogul inviting gospel musicians on the tour as well. Isaac Carree, 43, and Zacardi Cortez, 30, are singing background vocals on the Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour that reunites entertainers Puff Daddy, Lil Kim, Mase, Faith Evans, Mario Winans, Total, Carl Thomas, 112 and The Lox in venues around the country. So much for “Coming Out From Among Them and Being Separate.”

    1. Exactly. Are we putting them in hell over singing backup for puffy? This is one reason why our children can't get with the church. Its gonna take more than hukkabukking and what our parents said to draw them. #misplacedpriorities

  3. Ya'll, I mean, look at the name of the company. BAD BOY FAMILY REUNION!! LOL! THINK! By the way: 1987 Commissioned Lyrics from the song, "Only what you do for Christ will Last." Success has deceived the world today
Even in the church so many's gone astray
We're living in a world of fantasy
Blinded by the pleasures of this high society

Fame and fortune is their reward
They don't know that man's glory
Last for a season They must know
What comes up must come down
Except when the Lord takes you on higher ground

Only what you do for Jesus Christ will last

    1. timezone why can't you congrats Zacardi and Issac? Why you got to always hate? I saw them on the #todayshow and they represented the kingdom well..... God is opening doors to unchartered territory for them.

    2. Not hated. These are successful talented men whom I believe that need to use their gifts for the Lord Jesus Christ only. It is just my belief that the sacred and profane can't mix. Once upon a loooong time ago, I thought it was kinda cool to mix with secular dudes. I would say, "Hey, maybe somebody backstage or within the studio will get saved." Lol. Yes, the Church has to influence the world, but in this last days it's the total other way around. The world is influencing the church. Example ofcourse is, Kirk Franklin with Kanye. That witness won't reach the ceiling. As a keyboardist in my church I've seen a turn for the worse of gospel artist mixing and mingling with secular artist who's songs are filled with all types of sinful desires of the flesh. And it's only getting worse. Notice the year of the song, "Only what you do for Christ will Last?" 1987. It's incredibly hard to find words of truth like that today in gospel music. Today I call them pronoun songs. I, ME, US, WE.... It's just my biblical belief to not stand on stage with others who's motives are complete and total opposite from what one has been called upon by God.

    3. I like your musical discernment calling their songs pronoun songs. A good spiritual songs should always exalt the Lord in His highest, and show man in his lowly state, as creatures dependent upon Him. From a lyrical perspective, these gospel artists are way way off. FROM a musical point, they are even worse. Not to argue, I would say this is not mixing the Holy with the unholy. It's more a coming together OF things a lot more in common than different.

    1. Yes it is Anonymous. The Holy Spirit has to lead and guide us in this last day we're here on earth. And I'm not talking about the Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost that has one's to believe it's for running around the church 100mph, but the spirit of Christ to recognize evil when it's present. We can't get caught up with what shines and looks glamorous because if we do, that will be the very thing that will cause us to fall. Think about it. Eve in the Garden of Eden. She gravitated towards the fruit and what satan was saying because it looked so beautiful. Oh! Luke 4:5-8 5.The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6. And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7.If you worship me, it will all be yours.”

8.Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only. Way back when, I walked down through this beautiful building which was a record company. I saw on the walls Vanilla Ice and Tag Team. I got all starry eyed and "star-struck." This is exactly what's happening today. Thank God for his Grace and me waking up! To

  5. Timezone, you are testifying to the truth of God's Word. GLORY!! As you commented in the Hillary article, I am totally with you. I know it is disturbing when Christian people can't perceive nor understand the TRUTH of God's Word. You have said it. So, in your defense, stand for God, my brother and HE will carry you through...no matter what the others are saying. YOU ARE NOT A HATER! Remember, they treated Jesus the same way when he told the truth. So we suffer and also get persecuted for HIS name sake...even from our own brethren....HIS WORDS, NOT MINE. Bless you!! In Christ Alone, RLR.

  6. I am happy for them, but if it was me, I would decline. Not every open door presented to you does not mean they are meant to enter through. They have good heads on their shoulders and they look at it as a business decision. They needed to use extra discernment and prayer before they said yes to Diddy. We should be salt and light, but use extreme caution when we enter secular arena. We are called to engage and not conform to urban culture. A careful reading of Acts 17, where Paul went to Mars Hill, gives guidance in dealing with secular culture. The best thing we can do since they are on tour is pray for them to be Godly in everything they do.

  7. Well said Johnny Hopkins, BUT, there is no Godly in them that they can do. Come on...no disrespect!! Light and darkness can't mix together. That's like saying it was OK for Samson to get with Delilah. God told him "DONT DO IT" because he was a Nazarite (Priest). So this mixing won't work. God said Come out from among them (partake in their ways) and be separate unto Him. When will we stop falling for the devil's tactics? In Christ Alone, RLR.

  10. Say what?! Puff Daddy...Diddy....Bad Boy with gospel artists? The creator of Ghetto fabulousness and forerunner of the Black metrosexual movement? Why, oh my!

I believe light can shine in the darkness, but this is a disaster in the making. I don't know anyone who has chosen to truly follow Jesus Christ because someone sang a song over a melody. That may motivate, but it does not convert. After the secular artists have roused the lusts of the world & flesh, are the gospel artists supposed to tell the audience: it's okay, Jesus loves you? Come as you are and stay as you are? It's almost as if Puff wants them there for some sort of false sense of spiritual validation.
