More Americans Say That You Can Be Good Without God?

Image
Reader for the first time, a majority of Americans — 56 percent — say it is possible to be a good person without a religious belief. So says new Pew Research Center data drawn from two polls conducted among about 5,000 American adults in June and July. “God is not a prerequisite for good values and morality,” Greg Smith, Pew’s associate director of research, said in a post about the findings. ” … [T]he public’s increased rejection of the idea that belief in God is necessary for morality is due, in large part, to the spike in the share of Americans who are religious ‘nones.

  1. Guess you all forgot that Obama cancelled it on May 9, 2009. WAIT! Before you all jump all over me! lol. Okay, yes he did openly say that he recognizes the fact that thousands will be in prayer on this day, but it's the WHITE HOUSE that will not have an open recognized service for it because he said this isn't a 100% Christian nation. Hmmmm...? he's kinda right about that. It's Babylon, haha. As a matter of fact, he actually said "We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.” That statement almost gives me a headache. lol.

    1. The first Thursday in May, by congressional mandate, is set aside as the official “National Day of Prayer."
Why does a country with separation of church and state have a National Day of Prayer?

    2. I'll be honest Ms. Ann, the way the world is and society is set forth, there's hardly even a point of having it. What needs to happen is for modern day "Paul's" to put their foot out there and not be scared and when the mic is thrown in their mouths, proclaim who Jesus really is. Stop given in to the dollar an getting on so called reality T.V. shows. The list is too long as to what needs to happen with the church versus this National Day of Prayer thing because to be truly honest, it's just a title to make people feel warm and fuzzy inside as if we're still One Nation Under God when this country is turning further and further away from even believing in a higher power, much less God. The New World Order wants everyone, especially millennials to believe they are a god and forget about this church stuff and trying to live Holy. smh.
