B-Slade aka Tonex Brought The House Down At Daryl Coley Homegoing Celebration "When Sunday Comes"!

Reader B-Slade aka Tonex is a singer. Wow. He is the only one I have ever heard sing this song with the same intensity and vocal technicality as Daryl Coley. B.Slade, aka Tonex you sir paid extraordinary homage to the late legendary Bishop Darryl Coley. My God!!!!I have always loved this song. In my opinion, he did Bishop Daryl Coley proud.

    1. What's dumb foolishness are you talking about may I ask? B-Slade was asked to pay homage to another great man of God through his gift and did just that.

    4. I could talk all day about entertain vs. truly being lead by the Holy Ghost. I've play behind people that can bring it. Trust me I know BSLADE which he calls himself now is amazing. I got that but it's pure flesh. Period.....

    5. YA'LL STOP BEING "STAR-STRUCK" BY THESE ENTERTAINERS. It used to get to me at one point but I got confirmation by the Holy Spirit that this foolishness of TALENT will get NO ONE truly saved. IT's mere emotion and hype because when that person goes home, there's nothing there.

    6. Amen Timezone...folks like Moss Def and Elizabeth have drunk the
Kool-aid of diluted black gospel music, that even when you state the obvious (dumb foolishness), they act in their stupor to say "what foolishness are you talking about, Timezone"? They have allowed folks like B Slade to dumb them down. Everybody knows B Slade is straight up homosexual and he is proud is saying so. So for Mos Def and his girl Elizabeth to front is DUMB DUMB DUMB... As long as they walk in their stupor, they will never know any better. A++:) Timezone.

    7. His sin doesn't take away from the message of the song. He can't save nobody and neither can you. God uses all types of people for his glory. For you to suggest that this man isn't worthy of praising God because you disapprove of his lifestyle makes you the DUMB one.

    8. The Bible says let everything that has breath praise the LORD. ONLY because The LORD IS WORTHY OF ALL PRAISES, even from every sinful individuals like Hitler, Mussolini, YOU and B-SLADE. Has nothing to do with BSLADE and his singing talent. Grant you his sin does not take away the message of the song. But if BSLADE continues in his reprobate state, he will never see Jesus who can sooth his troubled mind when Sunday comes, like the song says. And to say “He can't save nobody and neither can you”, you forget to add, YOU CAN’T EITHER! For you to suggest he is a saved because he “praises” God, singing black gospel music is DUMB. And Yes, I disapprove of his lifestyle. God disapproves as well. His lifestyle is an ABOMINATION. God gets no glory from anyone living in a reprobate state. He only allows them to fulfill the lust of their own flesh.

    9. Never did I suggest that he was saved or that I am capable of saving folks. I said God uses everybody and you don't have the authority to determine who he can use and what he can use them for. I was basically telling you to sit down and tend to your own life. If he's unsaved let God deal with it.

    10. the anointing is missing in his singing... it was all flesh... God is to be worshipped in spirit & truth... worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness... Tonex, B-slade or whatever he wants to be called, can't use his members for sin and God...

    11. Look, this is not that difficult okay…

You can’t have it both ways.

You can’t explain to me nothing of what you never suggested, after YOU were the ONE who accused me of suggesting something I NEVER SUGGESTED. For you to do that, I recommend you sit down and tend to your life and let God deal with your pride.

You said about me to my initial post, and I quote “For you to SUGGEST that this man isn't worthy of praising God because you disapprove of his lifestyle makes you the DUMB one”. I NEVER SUGGESTED SUCH A THING. If you don’t want me to read into your comments to say what you suggested, then don’t read into mine.

My initial post was to address the comment made by Mo Def asking the question “what foolishness are you talking about, Timezone"? when it was obvious what Timezone was talking about. AGAIN, Everybody knows B Slade is straight up homosexual, and BSLADE proudly admits that right out his very own mouth.

And if you think I’m being too “judgmental” about BSLADE (I disapprove of his lifestyle. God disapproves as well. His lifestyle is an ABOMINATION. God gets no glory from anyone living in a reprobate state…YES THIS IS WHAT I SAID AND I OWN IT, so you don’t have to say I’m suggesting ANYTHING) maybe you should follow to your own advice and let God deal with ME.

And now you are lying saying you said “I said God uses everybody and you don't have the authority to determine who he can use and what he can use them”. NO you didn't. YOU said and I quote “He can't save nobody and neither can you.“, to which I replied, NEITHER CAN YOU!
Go and sin no more. Get it together.

      Delete
    12. NO, you look.... I'm not going to sit here and play word games with you. Like I said, TEND TO YOUR OWN LIFE and make sure you're as holy and righteous as you want everyone else to be!

    13. Nothing “gamely” about my words. I responded in a plain way my comments, told you directly this man’s lifestyle is an abomination after you claimed I suggest that this man isn't worthy of praising God because I disapproved of his lifestyle. Yes, I made reference to you suggesting he was saved. AGAIN I say, If you don’t want me to read into your comments to say what you suggested, then don’t read into mine. You want to brush all that aside and now bring up the issue of “playing games with words”. REALLY?

Here’s another one for you – if you said “I don't have the authority to determine who he can use and what he can use them for” (which by the way, I NEVER SAID I DID)”, what make you think you have the authority to tell me to “TEND TO MY OWN LIFE”? And this is not “word gaming” either. You keep bringing up issues of things like this one of “authority” like only God has the authority to do, then comes across like you got some authority to tell me what I should do (TEND TO MY OWN LIFE). I mean if you feel like you are biblical in telling me that, I feel like I am biblical in saying what I said about B SLADE, which in this post, his lifestyle is an abomination. I disapproves of it. God disapproves of it. If he continues in his reprobate state, He will not see “Sunday” morning. And AGAIN. My initial comment was to say Mo DEF knew exactly what Timezone was saying. You obviously wanted to brush aside this point as well. STOP the MADNESS!

  2. Forget the notes and how well he sings, that doesn't mean anything if his heart isn't towards God. His lifestyle is what God sees and from what tonex or now b-slade have been doing, singing all up in gay clubs and sleeping with men, God sees. People need to stop praising how a person sings. Whoever disagree with this comment, need to check their heart too.

  5. the spirit of discernment is lost in many of congregations... many confuse pointing out sin as being judgmental... God said we should know them by the fruit they produce, bad fruit can't produce good fruit... so all that he's ministering bull crap has to stop... we minister not by the words we speak/sing but how the life we live...

  6. Riddle me this:

What do we say to all of the music that we sing (by both white and black people) that we haven't as some would say "discovered yet? (Remember Jennifer Knapp)?

We major in the minors a lot. Anointed music.....I wonder are we still trying to apply OT example to the new covenant? Some mentioned making melody in your heart in one post. But the real object is not the melody, it's where it's made , in the heart. No one may ever hear the song of your heart but God. If we don't regain focus, we will be like the Pharasiees of Jesus day.....think about it.

And when did singing ever become worship anyway? It can be an expression of true worship but never worship in and of itself.

    1. I don’t know about the “some” who said “making melody in your heart in one post”, but I know I was the ONE who mentioned New Testament (not Old Testament) bible verses pertaining to this matter. No “minoring”, or applying OT when I mentioned it, although we can learn about music from the OT as well.

Paul admonished making melody, not to just one church, but two churches (the church in Ephesus, and the Church in Colossae,) . In Ephesians 5, he wrote

18And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, 19speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; 20always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;…

      In Colossians 3, he wrote,
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Notice the verses said “making melody with your heart to the Lord” and “singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Paul taught they admonish one another TOGETHER in singing, and their singing should be with grace in their hearts. I mean, to say “No one ever hearing the song of your heart but God”, what do you mean. God is the only one who truly knows if a person is singing songs with grace in their hearts. That not the point of Paul’s teaching in either of these verses.

We just can’t fit into the Bible what we want to fit into it. We just can’t justify music, because we think it’s okay as done by many of these artists and churches. When YOU do this, YOU become like the Pharisee. When you do this, you become just like many under the Old Covenant which you seem to want to get away from. Remember Aaron’s grandsons offered up strange fire unto the LORD, because they did not give what the LORD required, and God killed them.

No, you got it WRONG. Our “new” songs should emphasize the melody, melody meaning “simple” tune. He said “singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;” The other parts of our new songs should complement the melody. Let me ask you a question, can you explain to me biblically, what it means by “anointed” music?

  7. All I will say is it has become a sad day in gospel, as well as in the Kingdom; when people will give praise & accolades to someone like this man singing a horrible rendition of something Daryl Coley made famous, that also happens to be homosexual and happy about it. The even more sadder part, is that God was nowhere in that service; with Carlton Pearson, and a few more known admitted homosexuals I saw in the video. It was no secret that Daryl Coley was into that lifestyle as well, and my prayer was that he got things right with God, before he left here. People can walk in "COMPROMISE" all thy want to, but "HOLINESS" is, and will always be the only way to make it thru those gates into that city called Heaven. The gospel music arena has always been flooded with gays & lesbians, since the days of James Cleveland, another known homosexual, and for Tonex, B-Slade or whatever he wants to call himself; talk about when Sunday comes he will be delivered is absolute "HYPOCRISY!" What about getting delivered right now??? "SMDH!"

  9. Well I'll say this, There is a "well done" from man, and a "well done thy faithful servant" from GOD.

  10. while everyone is arguing about this, souls are being lost, children are going hungry, and people are walking around feeling hopeless. If we as Christians put this much verbal energy into the things that Jesus was adamant about, we would be a force to be reckoned with.

  11. B. Slade did an amazing job. It sadden me how people are so quick to judge. No one is perfect especially the one that's quick to pass judgment. I think people should focus on themselves and worry about their own messed up lives and stop passing judgment. Darley Coley was gay but that's no one business but his. James Cleveland was gay amongst half of the Christian community at the end of the day they are the ones that has to answer to God about their sins. Uplift people instead of putting them down.

    1. Then you stop putting people down, saying about them they are so quick to judge and that they should worry about their own lives. You mind your own business and stop worrying about people judging. Let God judge them for judging.
