God Have Mercy, Kirk Franklin Was Caught Simulating Slapping A Woman's Butt While Singing A Gospel Song?

Reader, Kirk Franklin continues to blur the lines between gospel and hip hop, perhaps going as farther than he’s ever gone before in busting out with the Milly Rock during a gospel concert. I've been seeing the above pic and the below video of Kirk Franklin in concert in Washington D.C. this past weekend up and down my timeline.  But I had not taken the time to see what the noise was about until this morning.

Social media is asking the question who knew Kirk Franklin had this in him? Kirk's being accused of simulating slapping a woman's butt while singing his gospel song “Melodies From Heaven” remixed over the beat from Lil Kim’s “Crush On You” and it was all caught on video. Check it out below.

  1. First of all the crowd is filled with luke-warm Christians, I'm sorry. As a keyboardist at my church, I do not play his songs no mo. I even told my pastor, I refuse to play his stuff. Why? I truly believe the spirit of this man who wrote the material that he has out, will in someway infiltrate into the congregation. Think about it, when you play someone's song and they hear that tune, the first thing you say is, OH! that's that Fred Hammond or Kirk Franklin track and theeeen you dwell on the words being said. Music itself is amazing. But yea... this joker is gone and he needs restoration big time.

  2. See this is my beef against these black "gospel" artists. You practically can do anything of the flesh to their songs, and somehow or another would not seem out of place. My thing here is the "dress" here's wearing, with all the feminist motions and gyrations. This dude is an enigma now. It's so easy to discern his ludicrous and laughable behavior.

  3. Totally disrespectful in a gospel concert and I did see what was referenced in the clip. I have no more comment, Kirk needs to grow up in Christ. He is too old for that mess.

  4. Why don't he just stop playing with the gospel.
Just let him become the black version of "Pit Bull"

  7. I think I would be more careful to speak on issues before I have done all my research and especially to make judgment calls or accuse any artist of sampling.. LIL KIM did not create this music: she sampled it from the song RAIN DANCE by The Jeff Lorber Fusion... now what she did with the song is her business. And I challenge where Kirk was emulating slapping a woman's behind in this video. If anything, he needs to make his performance age appropriate: by that I mean act your age, not your fan base..
