Lord Have Mercy: Mega Church Word Of Faith International Christian Center Wants To Drill For Oil On Its Land.

Reader do you think this church is drilling for oil so the "PEW SITTERS" can become wealthy? No! I didn't think so either. Word of Faith International Christian Center is not just any church that wants to drill for oil on its land.   According to internet rumors, Keith Butler is the head of the Word of Faith International Christian Center, a far-right Christian church in Detroit with 21,000 members. The word of faith movement is one of the fastest growing segment of professing Christianity today. Its growth is at least partially due to the massive amounts of money the leaders are able to extract from the faithful, poor.

According to social media, it's not surprizing that the so called named Word of Faith International Christian Center wants to drill for oil on its land. Keith Butler is a former Detroit City Councilman who also ran for the US Senate as a Republican.  Drilling for oil in Metamora, Michigan was protested against by Republicans. Drilling for oil in Rochester, Michigan was protested against by Republicans. The Republican-controlled government in Michigan is starting to impact the quality of life in areas where Republicans live. These Republicans are starting to taste the fruits of the candidates they elected, actions typically reserved for people who live poor areas. The chickens are coming home to roost.

  1. Bishop Keith Butler has been my pastor since I was 13 years old. He has been the father figure that I needed and I'm grateful to God for him. Words cannot describe my appreciation for the sacrifices he and his family has made to pour into our lives. He is one of the best bible teachers that ever walked this earth (in my opinion).

Anonymous please, the word of faith thing is another of Satan's tricks. You can name but you can’t claim it You can blab it but you can’t grab it because it doesn’t work. Preachers like Butler are the only ones prospering and its off your money. It’s for young healthy people, the older less healthy people figure out pretty quick that it just doesn’t work at all.

  2. Ms. Ann I attended the meeting that was scheduled at S.F. High school the other night. It was to discuss the drilling at Word Of Faith Church. Let me first say great turn out. I can't believe how some people just go brain dead because a Pastor says so. Nothing Biblical about what Keith Butler is trying to do. When does praising God require you to drill for oil in a residential neighborhood. And if it does please leave a comment on where I can find it in the Bible. If I didn't know better I would believe that the members who spoke in favor were promised 40 acres and a mule or something. We don't need a Flint, or a New Orleans contamination of our air, land, or water. Or smell like S.W. Detroit Marathon Refinery. Just say no to the madness.

  3. This Keith Butler church is a big GOP supporter. And the church wants to drill for oil on church property? This is obscene, and fodder for so many jokes. I thought the Creflo Dollar jet was bad but at least this snake oil preacher will fuel his own Gulfstream G650 jet. And the parishioner's cars and vehicles of the poor will get cheap or free fuel. RIGHT? Please tell me I'm right. The oil profits will stay with pastor Butler because that's what Jesus wants. All you complainers and critics and haters are just listening to Satan. Say, "amen." Let's start drilling. Unbelievable.

  4. Doesn't this Negro know oil is a big business reserved for a certain few? Even if he strikes oil, they are not going to let him nor his minions have it. When all you can see is the spark of $$$ in your eyes, you will become disengaged with reality. How much does this greedy joker wants? I don't care how many people he's helped along the way. Just being a part of that Word of Faith movement says a lot about this cat.

    2. I have been a member of Word of Faith international Christian Center since 1999 I've seen nothing but excellence and integrity in this ministry.I don't see anyone talking about all the great exploits that word of faith has accomplished **around the world** this ministry has helped the poor this ministry has changed lives this ministry has taught and birthed other ministries to do the same. For your information woficc was approached for oil not the other way around in fact Bishop was even considering selling and looking for new property before all this happened. This has never been a begging church this ministry GIVES!! .....A LOT. And for this opportunity to fall on this property is nothing but a blessing from God! Don't you tell me if an oil big wig knocked on your door and said "excuse me but we've been surveying your land and we have reason to believe there's oil" that you wouldn't jump for joy go to your garage get a shovel and flashlight and start digging yourself!! The only thing Bishop is guilty of is being at the right place at the right time. And when they do find oil on that property what he's going to do with the new found income from the reserves, is more of the same ,continue to spread the gospel and help save a dieing world. FYI: Money is neither good or evil it's just an amplifier, if you're an evil person you'll just find more evil things to do but if you're a righteous person you'll spread righteousness. " the "love" of money is the root of all evil" you don't have to have a dime to commit that sin!
