Michelle Higgins Representing The Next Generation Of Christian Warriors!

Reader if you did not get a chance to attend last year Urbana15 but want to watch how God punched a hole in the universe. Then watch Michelle Higgins talk truth to the heart of the next generation of evangelicals about race, ‎blacklivesmatter‬ and mission, in the below video.

Michelle Higgins, Director of Faith for Justice and Director of Worship and Outreach at her church, spoke at the evening session on December 28, 2015. In her talk, she discusses the importance of knowing the history of the United States and how it has treated all kinds of people.

She moves beyond the typical black/white divide to discuss the internment of Japanese people during World War II, the displacement of indigenous peoples, and class discrimination as well as race-based injustice. She also spoke in support of the Black Lives Matter movement as a mission to promote human dignity towards people of African descent.

A large number of Evangelical leaders have signed on to a statement thanking InterVarsity for its endorsement of Black Lives Matter at the recent Urbana 2015 conference. Hold on just a little while longer, everything will be alright.

  2. She appears to be very bright and intelligent. She has a promising future, maybe as a communicator or public speaking on some type forum for motivation. NOT in the PULPIT though.
