Fix It Jesus: Priest Suspended By The Church For Hoverboarding!!

Reader, so a priest was suspended for using a hoverboard during a service, as it was considered attention seeking and disrespectful. An unidentified Catholic priest is taking some time to reflect on his decision to ride a hoverboard at the conclusion of Christmas Eve Mass, according to religious news sites.  An official statement from the Diocese of San Pablo in the Philippines reprimanded the priest, saying Mass and the Holy Eucharist,
"It is the Church’s highest form of worship. Consequently, it is not a personal celebration where one can capriciously introduce something to get the attention of the people."
The Diocese described the incident as a wake-up call for the priest, whom the Diocese claims offers his apologies and vows not to repeat the incident.

  1. "It is the Church’s highest form of worship. Consequently, it is not a personal celebration where one can capriciously introduce something to get the attention of the people."

    I 100% wholeheartedly AGREE!!!

  2. Shouldn't have been suspended, but surely a very harsh and stern warning was appropriate.

  3. My thoughts are, if he was making a demonstration (parable) then what's the harm, lighten up people....if other ministries can demonstrate with Lion, race tracks, tight rope walkers, etc on stage, then what's the harm in a hover board. Another thought perhaps he was trying to connect with the younger generation, he that wins a soul is wise....

    1. Always trying to connect with the younger people, and nothing they try seem to get through to this stiff-necked generation. Statistics shows these young people lose all sense of God by the time they turn 16. Maybe all this trying to connect to identify is part of the problem.

It is a general principle that young folks don't need adults to act like they are their friends. They need strong disciplinarians (and I ain't talking about whopping either, though that's part of it) who would be firm and steadfast to hold to the truth. I have 5 grown adult children, and my wife and I did not play when it came rules and regulation within our home. We set the rules and made them go to church. My wife and I share the philosophy that we were not in the business of raising CHILDREN, we were RAISING ADULTS. Our kids (though not perfect) have been a blessing to us and still honor us to this day. When my oldest son got into some trouble on his job, the first person he called was me, his dad. I instructed him and prayed with him and scolded him and the LORD intervene to answer our prayers. All this trying to be wise to manipulate children to comply is nonsense. This church was right in their reprimand of this old priest (a high calling in the Catholic Church) playing around in church with his toy.

    2. Can I get an AMEN. April

  4. I am glad that he was disciplined and called out by the Catholic church. When will we learn that our worship is holy, sacred, and holy unto God, and to add worldly gimmicks to attract attention and audiences is 100% wrong. Come to see Jesus, and his power moving, not a Pastor or COGIC Bishop acting out the latest trend.

    1. You are so on point. A:))..
