Dallas Megachurch Pastor Robert Morris On Racism!

Image
Reader kudos to this pastor for saying what he said, and for how he said it, straight with no chaser. During a sermon this past weekend, Pastor Robert Morris of Dallas’ Gateway Church — one of the largest in the country — explained how racism is partly the church problem.  This past weekend, Pastor Robert Morris shared a powerful message titled “A Lack of Understanding” where he encouraged the church to stand against the evils of racism. Must watch, your jaw will drop.  You can only imagine how the rest of the sermon went.

LDS Church To Exclude Children Of Same-sex Couples From Membership!

Readers, I must say this is a huge announcement. The LDS Church announced yesterday that children who (under no choice of their own, mind you) are members of a family of same-gendered parents will not be welcomed into church fellowship. At the time that they turn 18, disavow their family, and move out of such a household, then the President of the Church himself must approve their baptism.

Oh yeah, and they said that any church leader who participates in a same-sex marriage is an apostate, which in Mormonism is actually worse than murder.  Remember last year when the church came out and said "Just kidding, God never actually didn't like black people, Brigham Young was just racist. But he was still a prophet anyway." What do you think the church will say about Thomas S Monson in 100 years?

  1. This church gets stranger with every decision they make.

So 16 year old Lisa can
give her life to the Lord,
    denounce homosexual marriage,
And live a pure life dedicated to God the father.
But because of HER PARENTS she can't be BAPTIZED???

I wonder if this same rule applies for Parents that
    aren't married,
    In jail,
    Or any other sin.

I am not for same sex marriage but you can't place a hold on their children for something the child has no control over.

Do they also restrict children born out side of marriage, or born out of adultery?

    1. In my opinion this policy is inhuman. To be forced to deny your family for a religion is just so at odds to what Jesus would stand that it is mind blowing that a major religion would adopt such a nasty and cruel policy.

  3. Soon most of these institutions will be so exclusive no one will be able to join... which may not be all that bad.
