  1. On the all stars premier, Tiquila Wilson was told she had "swag" and "charm." Know that is a lie.

  2. Even though she is a good singer, she was not Sunday's Best. I am overweight and I know how that feels. This is a young girl and I would hope that the show would encourage weight loss. Looks don't matter but as hectic as a professional singer's life can be, she will not live long enough to obtain one. I wish her much luv.

    1. What does her weight have to do with her performance?

      Delete
    2. Her weight could have been an issue. Shows lack of self control, one of the fruit of the Spirit. We need to use self control as " we are not our own". If it's a deeper problem than over-eating, God can fix it. There is nothing too hard for God.

    3. So let me get this straight: A person who is overweight lacks self-control.

Never a boring moment on the internet...

    4. How does that not make sense, Mike Walker? If. you. over. eat. you. lack. self. controool.

    5. Thanks...that was what I was truing to say...

  3. NICE segway for commenting on "gospel" music, especially with this "show" in particular. OKAY, SUNDAY BEST...First let me say that I'm not judging all or any of the contestants, but this type format for a "gospel" show in GENERAL. When considering this contestant's actions after being eliminated, from this garbage of a show, where talented singers (not all of them are talented) compete to get a contract and some earthly rewards in the name of "gospel" music is totally nauseating to me. I am not surprised by this type outburst (if this is indeed true) by this contestant. O if we would know about a lot of what really goes on behind the scenes. This type platform is so far away from the "music" experience Paul and Silas had when in Acts 16:25 "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises to God: and the prisoners heard them." They sung praises unto the LORD after the multitude rose up together against them, the magistrates tore off their clothes, commanded them to be beaten with rods, and threw them into prison. This show is totally out of line with Paul's admonishment about music in two plain and simple (that so many seem to not know about or ignore) Bible verses where he states in Ephesians 5:19 "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; and Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." Notice in the Ephesians passage where it says "making melody". A melody is a simple tune, and the simple tune should accompany and compliment the lyrics, not overpower the lyrics. With most of "gospel" music, the tunes are not simple, but rather complicated and the rhythms and beats are carnal. And not to talk about the lyrics so much, but the lyrics are trite and repetitive, and in most cases, not Biblical at all. Many of the lyrics and music are borrowed from artists of the world. So that ought to tell you something. These songs appeal more to our flesh than to our spirit. GOSPEL SONGS SHOULD BE SPIRITUAL (not worldly or fleshly) SONGS. So when you put an immature Christian in an environment like this "SHOW", in the presence of their "gospel music idols" (LORD KNOW WHAT THEY BELIEVE BIBLICALLY, I have questions about KiKI,KIM and YOLANDA), they will become confused and display Un- Christian like attitudes. If the winners of this competition don't see through the devil's smoke screen, and lack in discernment about what's going on, he / she will (without a doubt) display "crackish" ways like Le'Andria Johnson. The world will open their arms wide to them, like they did Le'Andria Johnson, and give them their ultimate "STELLAR and GRAMMY" rewards for being the best Gospel Artist. God's rewards are way better that a piece of cheap gold given by any man here on this earth. If Tiquila knew about how God would wants her to really use her talent and use it for HIM, she would not put herself through this entertainment junk pile, and have outrageous fits when rejected by the devil.

    1. Ms. Ann, I don't believe none of this. That's nothing but the enemy trying to keep this girl from reaching her destiny. The devil is all in that. Some people may not believe this but these people aren't all Holy and sanctified. Their all wicked. Tiquila Wilson you are too anointed and God has his hands upon you and your life. THEY can't handle you. Sometimes it's best to let certain things go about its way. Girl I always believed in you. Keep the faith and keep God first. Continue to pray for this girl. Because they are really trying to give this girl a bad reputation.

    2. RIGHT. She and (everyone IMHO) need to stay away from SUNDAY BEST...

  6. BET, KIRK, YOLANDA, DONNIE are pimping these young contestants. BET is getting its money off the SHOW. KIRK is getting paid, all the judges are raking in cash, the winner get a chance to roll in doe, while the rejects get nothing but some BETv exposure, false hope, and maybe a chance to do some scant performances in the secular gospel industry. There is really not much difference in the top 10. Kirk and all the other "heads" have enough clout to sponsor a lot of these contestants. But we know that will not happen. There really is no rational behind the SUNDAY BEST deception, other than some benefits for a few. The devil is using slight of hands throughout the entire SUNDAY BEST process, and seeks to make a mockery out of God through the talent of Black folks and "gospel" music, sensationalizing many in the tv and home audience along the way.

  7. The contestants aren't being pimped. They want fame and money so they go on the show. Everyone gets what they want. If it was really just for Jesus, they can stay home and sing on a corner or at church. People know what they're asking for going into the music/entertainment industry. They should by now with all these GCraige Lewis videos out lol. I don't pity any of them because they're chasing the lusts of their hearts...all of them.

    1. YOU are 100% RIGHT. They are definitely to blame as well, and the more I think about even more so. I like the way you put it..."chasing the lust of their hearts"...GREAT insight...

  8. A "religious" network and not Christian? Thanks for confirming what I felt in my spirit a long time ago. They are not proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, just another religious con game out for dollars. I stopped watching them a long time ago with their sideshow antics and twisting of the scripture. Wow....

  9. To the Body of Christ, BET Network, Sunday’s Best Producers, Staff and Contestants and Family, Friends and Supporters
I want to take this opportunity to publicly apologize for anything I have done as a Christian and new artist to bring shame and embarrassment to the Body of Christ and the BET Network and to my name. God has blessed me with a great gift and opportunity, both of which have changed my life. When invited back to Sunday’s Best All-Star Season I faced this second chance with some fear and feelings of unpreparedness, yet I attempted to overcome all of my personal insecurities and to pursue this open door. I admit in many ways I felt unprepared, not because of a lack of desire for ministry or for success but to come from a background of challenge and to be thrust into the spotlight is a lot. I admit at times I felt overwhelmed. I honestly believe that shows like Sunday’s Best should also include serious sessions on how to handle what this level of attention can do to a person, it’s not just glamour, it requires a level of maturity that I admit I didn’t sometimes display. Spiritual and emotional Developement, the two things this process has given me.
Yet, one thing is certain. I love the Lord and I love gospel music. I’ve made mistakes and I pray those who really know my heart will forgive me and pray for me. Those who have supported me I thank you. Those who have prayed for me I ask you pray even more. Those who have said my weight, lack of education, my skin tone and my weave and eyelashes are too much or too little, please know I don’t think any of those things disqualify me from being used by God, neither do any of those things define me, so I’m not going to allow anyone’s opinions to do that either.
I’m a work in progress, God is still working on me, and my faith makes me to know, God is not through with me yet! I love you all and again I ask you forgive my reactions. I’m not all they said and I did not do all they claim, but anything out of the will of God is too much, so as I have repented before God, I take responsibility for what I did do and say and ask those who know that process prepares to keep me in your sincere prayers. God is preparing me and I believe ” I Will Be Back”.
    Humbly,
    Tiquila Wilson

    2. First, singingis not a "gift". For the gifts of the SPIRIT, read I Corinthians, Ephesians and Romans. YOU will not find in either of these books, singing as a gift. With that said, the LORD can use your talent to sing to encourage others, as there is such thing as the gift of encouragement. Second, stay away from all outlets who would exploit your talent, use your talent for the LORD. Third, do a study on music as it's talked about in the BIBLE (hymns and songs and spiritual songs). Stop trying to sound like and be like the world. For example if you sing sexy, it'll make you feel sexy and your audience will be encouraged to be sexy. Forth, seek the LORD to really know what it means to know His Son. Have a testimony (not an experience) - but where you have a personal encounter with the LORD JESUS when you became saved by listening to His WORD, know your testimony, share your testimony, Your salvation is more important than any song you may be gifted to sing. Seek God everyday through prayer. Read your Bible everyday.

    1. Sir, Lady, Whoever you are, This is completely old. Why are you commenting on something that happened almost 3 years ago, that we don't publicly know if its true or a made up scandal. Tiquila (which is the correct way to spell her name) is not that type of person, she is very honest, and will not hide or sugar coat anything. This I know for sure!!! What does her weight have to do with anything is what I'm trying to figure out. Her weight has nothing to do with the fact that the chick is beyond anointed. I'm pretty sure you are just another one who has nothing to do but sit behind a computer screen and talk about something you obviously know nothing about, especially about her lifestyle! Oh and by the way "Arealwinner", I don't think its too late for her, Doors have been opened for her and its not THE END!!! Find something new to talk about!!
