Fix It Jesus: Lust Have Caused Dr.Umar Johnson To Lose A One Million Dollar Donation?!?!?

Lord have mercy, here we have a guy who is a pretty good speaker and who would probably, in all honesty, be an effective community organizer. But instead today it's being alleged that he's using his talents to exploit his followers. This incident so reminds me of an incident  thousands of years ago. When the key leader of ancient Israel was a man named Samson. You Bible readers may remember the Bible stories which teach Samson was physically stronger than any other man who had ever lived, yet was totally weak in his struggle with sexual temptation around prostitutes and eventually was seduced into captivity and prison by a temptress named Delilah who sold him out. Dr. Umar Johnson has just been sold out by a stripper. Think of it! The strongest man who ever lived was no match for the sexual temptations of his culture, which still hold true today.

I just hope something positive can come from this Dr. Umar Johnson mess. The idea of building a black school does not have to die with Dr. Umar Johnson's reputation. Maybe somebody who is better fit to lead this project can take the idea to a level that Dr. Umar Johnson could not. A school designed to help black children succeed in this evil world is definitely something we need and deserve.  Sometimes it seems like we flat out refuse to find the silver lining in these type of situations. Those who follow some of the teachings and beliefs of Umar Johnson have made it their mission to honor those beliefs better than he has. His followers are highly upset.

  1. The universe always has a divine way of working itself out. Been an avid supporter of this brother for years and nothing is going to change that. Remember whenever the powers that be want to tarnish a black brother or sisters following or movement they alway try to do things like this and sadly since the plantation days there was always some fool looking for a butter biscuit who was more than willing to help. Don't be discouraged my brother be determined. Our youth need you and we are behind you.

    1. I agree Milinda Jenkins, character assassination is to be expected when a Black man is attempting to do good within his community. The exact same thing happens in the Black church, but we as Black folk don't pull financial support... we forgive & forget. Unless his sexual escapades involve children or other men, I really don't see a problem. He's human & he has sexual desires just like the rest of us.... he's also SINGLE. Women have given up the milk & cookies to men in power/position since forever. We need to question WHY it then becomes necessary for them (women) to kiss & TELL. People still support Rev. Jesse Jackson... illegitimate child & all. Anyone who chooses not to back this vision because of gossip & slander probably never truly intended to do so anyway

  3. Women have been used from the beginning of time to destroy our leaders this is nothing new this has been happening forever we can't hate on none of them this is life choices and some people don't see the bigger picture blind by vanity ....I appreciate brother Umar he's a good brother and we should not cast stones we should support both him and the sister and help give guidance where it is needed , this is our African way....we have gotten away from our way and mindset...Wake up and stay Woke love and Peace.

  7. Samson's power came from the Holy Spirit. He was a Nazirite on special assignment from God and became weak because he was disobedient to God and his parents regarding his relationships with pagan women. God ultimately restored him and gave him victory when he repented. Sexual temptations are everywhere, that's why the Bible has many warnings against it and promises of restoration if we repent. Is this man a born again believer? If yes he must know that Jesus is the one and only way to heal and restore (black) men, to run away from 'pagan' women like Joseph did, that this evil world will soon come to an end, that parents are the best teachers for their children according to the Bible. If no than this man is operating according to his own understanding and that of others (Garvey and others). People have always tried to make their own religion using parts of the Bible they like, but that never works. We cannot change this evil and corrupt world, because in our own strength we cannot fight the devil. But Jesus overcame and conquered the devil, so only through Him we have the power to start changing ourselves and teach our children the Law of the true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel. Wonder how he was going to teach these boys to succeed in this evil world. If we want to succeed in this evil world we will have to play by the evil rules of this world....

    1. You do not have to be a Christian to have a spirit of lust. Lust focus is pleasing
oneself, and it often leads to unwholesome actions to fulfill one's desires with no regard to the consequences. Lust is about possession and greed.

Dr. Umar Johnson, psychologist and political scientist, claims that the Black church is putting its faith and its money in all the wrong places. Johnson, who describes himself as having the blood of Frederick Douglass running through his veins with the spirit of Marcus Garvey, has many people closely analyzing his statements on church.

  11. Fredrick Douglass used the Word of God. Holding on to old traditions and cultures of our fore fathers and their fore fore fathers is what enslaved the mindsets of blacks in the first. It is through the name above all names that we are set free. That would be Jesus "YahShuah". Egyptian mindsets....Babylonian mindsets...is not the answer. If the mind is enslaved and cannot be freed from the basics of lust...it would be difficult to free any one else with the same mindset. The Holy Spirit...Holy Ghost...and the empowering Word of God is needed to renew the mind and inner spirit of man. One must examine his weaknesses to increase in strengthes to avoid the 'strange fruit' that leads to spiritual death. Strength does not come with the word man...but with the dunamis power being embeded in the DNA of man. In order to claim dominion and power you must be capable of releasing that power. In order to sustain that power you must have vision and wisdom from upon high. Without it my people perish for lack of knowledge.
