Black History Month: February 1st!

In celebrations of Black History Month, which starts today February 1,2015. The Old Black Church will be doing a posting and acknowledging of our history via the church each day of February. I will be posting things that are and once was a part of the construct of the black church.

A long time ago, well intentioned church members wanted to honor their pastor and show respect to his wife, so they create a reserved spot for them. Salute to the reserved sign!

  1. The only reserved signs that I believe are acceptable should be for pregnant women, handicapped, and elderly..

  2. Reserved parking for the pastor got me in trouble at a church in Maryland. I asked the UNTHINKABLE QUESTION.

"Why is the young able bodied pastors parking space 15 feet closer to the front door than the handicap space for people who need it?"

    Their answer:
    Cause he is the pastor.

(Here is what really set them off)
    My response:
Why can't he get here early like everyone else?

(Insert eye rolls and snapping fingers)
    OH NO HE DIDN'T
