The Bobby Blake Story: Gay Adult Porn Star From Tennessee Turn Pastor?

I tell you what, this interview with ex-porn star turn pastor Bobby Blake, is an eye opener if nothing else, and very interesting. I cannot believe he thinks that his journey in the world of porn was all part of God's plan for him.  WHY?

For an entire generation the name Bobby Blake became synonymous within the world of pornography. Having starred in over 100 gay, bisexual and multi-racial porno flicks Blake quickly became an international sensation fulfilling the erotic needs and dreams of both gay and straight audiences alike.

Now retired the bisexual porn star reveals that underneath his rock hard muscles, insatiable sexualized persona and celebrated sexual, physical endowment exist an extremely conservative preacher from Tennessee who ironically is vehemently against gay marriage and is considering a new career in criminal justice. So just how does Bobby Blake reconcile his Christ-centered theology, sexual orientation, and pornographic exploits?  Anyway, check out the interview, here.

  2. I went and read the article, and although you say he has a "Christ-Centered" theology, Christ was never mentioned in his interview. He has "faith in God", and that can mean so many things in this day and age. He may proclaim Jesus on his personal site (I didn't want to read any more personally), but I find it telling that Jesus' name never crossed his lips in the interview. That alone explains a lot to me.

  3. Lord have mercy, the bible says that if any man be in Christ he is a new creature.old things are passed away, behold everything is new. I ain't one to judge. If this ex porn star is preaching the gospel in spirit and in truth and repented to God and accepted Jesus what difference does it make what he did?

My pastor found God in prison years ago..Do you judge him? John P Kee was a former drug dealer/addict who got saved in prison. What you USED to be don't matter once you have truly accepted Christ. In the bible the apostle Paul used to be Saul the persecutor and killer of Christians. Look what God transformed him into, one of the greatest disciples of Christ.

We ALL used to be a former something..I was a former womanizer, liar, cheater, angry, quick to fight someone ..after I found Christ I found my wife and PEACE..no longer quick to anger. Yeah, homosexuality is a sin, but so is lying, cheating, cussing, anger, gossiping, if I keep going I will find something we ALL are guilty of and that's the level playing field..WE ALL NEED CHRIST GRACE AND MERCY and without it we all are going to hell..Thank you God for Jesus, your grace mercy, forgiveness and loving kindness!

    1. Actually it does matter, in fact it matters a whole lot. God wants his Glory, he wants all to see his Glory. Mentioning the lifestyle that people once lived, the despicable and sinful lifestyle until they turn their will and lives over to God, now they have this miraculous change and turn around in their lives, these are what we call miracles. Let their pass be mention and give God his due Glory.

    2. That would make God petty and a spoiled child from a sitcom, so I seriously doubt you know what you're talking about

  4. You no what, I'm really happy for Blake and I'd have no problem attending his service. Despite what some may believe, we all have the same creator. I agree Blake wild out like so many of us in our early years however as time move on we mature. Folk turn the corner (turning over a new leaf) and realize a need for change. I'm glad the brother is on the right track.

  5. Porn doesn't make one anymore or less able to be a man or woman of the cloth.

  6. God is a forgiving God. Once your sins are erased so is your past. This right here shows how God can deliver and heal anyone. That's true grace and mercy. This man has a testimony and apparently God is using him.

  7. A porn pastor! This man is proof according to his interview, that anybody and everybody think they are called by God without any feeling of regrets or repentance for the activities, actions for past wrongs.

  8. He was looking for a "Profession ", since his body is aging and has gone through all the trauma and drama. In my opinion , if this man really had found Jesus, he would be so humbled that he would never, even want to be in any exalted position. He would sit his self down to be taught , mentored by genuine men and women of God. Besides he needs to be delivered from those ancient demonic spirits that may still be lodged in him. However ,He has seen what a lot of the other " Fake Pastors " have accomplished & amassed, due to the masses of ignorant and biblically illiterate folk who follow them. So, I think he found his " niche " ! It`s so obvious to me that many of our modern day preachers have gone into this vocation to make a living. They get the positions & titles, but have no spiritual power, no compassion , no godly wisdom, and absolutely no AGAPE LOVE. They are wells without water, clouds without rain. A lot of them are just plain ole lazy opportunists who don't want to go out and make a living like the rest of us had to. However, there will be many foolish people who will follow & support these predatory leaders to the brink /gates of Hell. Jesus the Christ told us that in the last days there will be many false prophets that will deceive many ( see St. Matthews 24:11 ). Read the book of Jude where it talks about the lascivious character of some of the false ministers. It`s just like when pedophiles go into different professions where they are sure to have access to children. The greedy so called Pastors will set up camp somewhere and then bank on deceiving single women, families and households into supporting their so called " vision ". They then make " merchandise " out of the people. They are after what you have in your hand or bank account. They treat you like you are a prostituted who goes out to work and bring money back to them. Isn't that just like a " pimp " ? These phony preachers are popping up all over the place like weeds in a garden , and Detroit, Michigan is the Mecca of false Prophets who " preach " for profit. I thank the Lord every day for my foundation in the Word of God. I don't have to be deceived because Christ is living inside of me. The entire Word of God is my roadmap to safe, healthy, prosperous and holy living , that way I`ll never end up LOST, by following some dog-gone " Wolf " dressed up in sheep`s clothing.

    1. Judge not, or you will be judged too. We all have a past; God is attracted to those who have come a long way to Him. He's been through something which means he is the last one to judge some one who needs God. He can help those who have gone away from God because He too was there before.

      Bless you,

      Pastor Bobby Blake

    2. I applaud Bobby Blake for repenting and turning his life over to Jesus Christ. Unfortunately there are consequences for our past decisions. IMO, there will likely be a battle with lust and lasciviousness in the atmosphere ("we wrestle not against flesh and blood") evoked in the minds of those who are aware and perhaps curious about his past and still struggle with sexual immorality. It would be unwise to not acknowledge this fact. This spirit can also wreck the lives of many and destroy families - just like any other sin/demonic force, it has to be dealt with and can often be a continuous struggle in a persons life.

I also want to say that judging and Godly correction are two different things. Unwillingness to receive Godly correction is why there is so much unrestrained foolishness in the world and in the church.

I hope that Pastor Blake will "fight the good fight" and remain truly repentant. It really doesn't matter what people think if he is being obedient to God. If he is following the will of God, who cares what anyone else has to say (that includes me)? It can be difficult to hear the opinion of others - focus on allowing the Word of God to provide direction - and if He says sit down...sit down. If He says go forward…go forward.

Just about anyone who makes a difference in the world will receive pushback at some point. If his walk is an encouragement to other gay porn actors, etc. to turn their lives around and follow Jesus Christ, how can that be wrong?
