  2. One question that is particularly tricky in interviews is when the employer asks about
your biggest weakest. Be honest, and explain what you are doing
to overcome that weakness. Also, make sure you convey confidence in your skills
regardless of whether you are discussing something positive or negative in the
    interview.

  3. When interviewing, do your best to talk about your successes at previous positions without coming across as vain or self-indulgent.
You can discuss what your employers have noted about you on your evaluations in the
past or something that a co-worker has told you in passing about your skills.
Be confident, but do not be arrogant.

  4. When you are creating a resume, try to include some
of the key words that the job you are applying to is looking for.
Sometimes, companies will weed out resumes based on these words,
as it is a very easy way to get the call for an interview through your resume.

  5. When dealing with employees, especially lots of them,
it is important to maximize their productivity. Think about
it. If you have ten super productive employees,
you can save yourself, hundreds of thousands of dollars on benefits and wages, as compared
to hiring twenty or more employees. As such, find ways to maximize
    productivity.

  6. When applying for jobs it is important to not put
all of your eggs in one basket. Even if something looks promising, it is not a sure thing until
you are actually hired. Make sure that you keep your options open.
The more places that you apply, the better your chances of
    landing a job are.

  7. As silly as it may seem, be sure the email address, you use when applying for jobs is an appropriate one.

Your current email address can be something cute or personal, but
when you apply for a job, it does not make you look very professional.
Most email providers offer free sign ups so it will not cost you anything to create a professional
    email address.

  8. Always send a thank you note after an interview. It may seem
silly, but this small and easy task can make a big impression on an employer.
It shows that you value the interviewer's time. Make it brief, but include something specific that you talked about during the interview. Send it as soon as possible after your interview.
