The Christian Post Nick Minaj, 29-year-old New York genre-bending rapper, recently spoke about how the church saved her family, and how God is her hero. I'm thinking basically don't every Hollywood star and worldly musician attribute everything to "God"? Really, this is not a surprise coming from Nick when you think about it, don't most of Hollywood lay a claim to God the Creator? Why can't people be more specific when they mention "God"? What exactly do they mean? There are many "gods" out there. You can't find in Scripture were "God The Father" have instructed anyone to learn of Him. The instruction is and always will be learn of the One in whom I sent and that would be Jesus.

According to Golden Era Gospel Blog, in 1996 Caravans alum Dorothy Norwood recorded a version of the Commodores' 1977 hit, "Brick House", for the soundtrack to the motion picture, My Fellow Americans. For sixteen years, this recording has been largely forgotten, until YouTube user gsj612 uploaded the song on April 26th. Since then, the recording has been shared across social networks and has gained a nice amount of views in that short period of time.
Again congratulation Elder Goldwire Mclendon.

To be honest "Black Twitter" is going to be the death of many folks who can't handle criticism. Metta World Peace, AKA ( Ron Artest) have come under criticism and fire for a bunch of "tweets' he sent out via his "twitter" page the other day. I don't understand for the life of me why folks are taking to social media to vent their frustration. I don't understand why Metta World Peace being in the mess he's already in. Would tweet the above pic, nor why he deem it necessary to send out the tweets that are in question.
All I can say is criticism will make you a better person if you take the time to look beyond the criticism and see the critic. In other words check folks spirit. If it’s someone you respect, listen to what they say. If it’s someone you don’t place too much value in what they say, just over look'em. Let’s face it, we all do things we regret. But putting negative images and thing on social sites that can come back to haunt us in the near future is not good.
Pastor Frank E. Ray pastor of New Salem baptist Church in Memphis is back in the news again. This time the man of God is seeking a divorce from his wife of eight years. Pastor Ray is seeking and injunction to keep his wife from coming to church, and from contacting him or acting in any manner against him or the church. Also in his complaint for divorce Ray claims that the reason he wants out of the marriage because his wife became upset over the fact he removed her as the head of the women's ministry. He states that after her removal she swore that if it was the last thing she did she would destroy him and the church. Pastor Ray states that he is of high profile in the church community and that his wife's actions has damaged his reputation and ability to work and preach as he has in the past.

Matthew 12:36-37 ESV, I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.Young people remember your own words can and will ensnare you if not careful. Not only in this life but the life to come. Jesus said we are justified and condemned by our words. Not by the words of others but by our own words. Just shortly before going to trial of murder, a Louisiana judge has decided that rapper Lil Boosie's lyrics can be used against him in court. There's a line in one of his songs where he states "any n***** who f*** with me all dead. He's been accused of paying to have a man killed.

Bishop T.D. Jakes graces the cover of the latest issue of Jet magazine. The Bishop discusses his success behind the pulpit, as well as in the entertainment industry and what's in his future. The latest issue of Jet magazine is on newsstands now. The opinion I have posted below is one I find kinda of shocking when you consider all the work Jake and his church do for the community.
In the most recent issue of Jet magazine, Bishop T. D. Jakes lets us know his personal fortune is $18 million dollars. I’m impressed by that fact although I’d be more impressed if the Bishop took $9 million and devoted it to feeding those who needed feeding or housing those living on the streets or sent deserving students in need of college.Article Here!
I know some folks will not like this post nor the question that is ask. But is Steve Harvey part of the “strong delusion” that the Apostle Paul speaks of in 2 Thessalonians 2:11? The statement below is one that I found on a blog yesterday and it caught my attention. Blog Here!
I believe that Steve Harvey, like most comedians, is a change agent, who is being used to turn blacks away from God and indoctrinate them into the New Age religion of Antichrist. He often criticizes Christians as being judgmental in condemning his sinful ways. If he were not a Christian and tried to do this, he would be immediately rejected and seen for what he is. So, he tries a subtler approach, masquerading as a Christian, who is merely pointing out the many problems of the Church, using his position and influence to gain a wider following. Harvey is also making people comfortable in their sins, as he emphasizes a Christian being “a work in progress” rather than stressing holiness. He curses almost as much on his show as he did on the Kings of Comedy, and when his co-hosts mention this, he just laughs it off seeming to glory in his sinfulness.
Why in the world would these folks in Louisville Kentucky think this was a good idea? Sadly, this is an ad campaign to encourage breastfeeding in African-American moms. How you turn a perfectly adorable cute baby with no teeth into a big tooth baby with false teeth? I honestly don't get it. The baby didn't need teeth to get the point across and people actually get paid to think these things up.

WE Network on Thursday nights. The show features the gospel stars as they juggle their careers and their ever growing families. Grant it I haven't been following the Mary's reality show,so I really didn't know what to expect. But the last thing I was expecting to see on the show was a stripper pole. I have to agree with sister Tina here for expressing her views and values concerning her marriage, image, publicity, and possible negative backlash from her fans and future fans. Christian women hanging on a stripper pole is not a good image. What are your thoughts: Is pole dancing an inappropriate image for Christian women? Article Here!
"When I hear Mitt Romney say that he believes that Jesus is the Son of God–that he's the Christ, raised from the dead, that he's his Savior–that's good enough for me," Osteen said in an interview to air on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer."Shame on Joel Osteen for being such a coward, plain and simple. Rather than tell the truth he would rather tell a bald face lie. Knowing darn well because someone knows Christ is God's son does not make them a Christian. The Scripture teaches Satan knows who Christ is but it doesn't make him a Christian. Joel Osteen should lose what little bit of credibility he have left among true followers of Christ, for trying to push Mormonism as being Christianity. It is not Christianity Joel. Mormonism does not adhere to the teachings of Christ and therefore it is not Christianity.

(SOMERSET, NJ) – The rain didn’t stop Rev. DeForest B. Soaries, Jr., senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, from burning credit card offer letters his members brought to church yesterday. First Baptist Church members brought credit card letters to church and Soaries, standing in the rain, publicly burned the letters in the church parking lot to send a message that financial companies should stop targeting vulnerable borrowers. Pastor Jomo K. Johnson a Presbyterian minister from North Philadelphia has written a new book title Call Tyrone: Why Black Women Should Remain Single Or....In a recent interview with The Christian Post he explain Why he think Black Women Should Remain Single Or.... He discusses alternatives to marriage for black Christian women faced with a shortage of men. Johnson argues in Call Tyrone that many times African-American women have options they are unaware of or reluctant to embrace when it comes to relationships.
I know that African-American women make up such a large number of the African-American church, and they're not finding how to hold relationships, how to hold husbands. I feel like there's a real strong need for the subject to be spoken about, from a pastoral standpoint. People have talked about it from a social standpoint, but I think it's important […] to address it from a Christian pastoral standpoint.I'm sorry man of God I know this is your personal religious denominational viewpoint but this is not new information. The Apostle Paul by the Holy Spirit warn us that one day ministers would creep into the church and teach doctrines of devils. One of the components of the doctrines of devils is forbidding men and women to marry. Every black woman that's single and is sitting in a pew on any given Sunday morning. Already know about the so call shortage of available black men and the idea that they can date outside of their race. This info is not anything new. But what I find surprising is that you would suggest that women should remain single. That is not biblical at all. I don't get that coming from a man of God. What ever happen to the teaching that God will give us the desires of our heart; if the heart is turn toward Him?

Pastor Kenneth L. Hutcherson pastor of Antioch Bible Church or Redmond WA, is spear heading a movement call "Let's take back the rainbow."
Rainbows used to mean something very different than they do today. It used to be understood as the sign God put in the sky to remind us that even when He’s angry about sin, He’d never again destroy the earth with a global flood. But of course, that’s not what most people associate a rainbow with today. Article here!

“My goal is to get men and especially men of color to realize that worship is not a feminine sport,” Hurd says. “In this season, I feel we should come together and lift up a sound that has the power to change families and strengthen communities and help brothers to get a glimpse of what real worship is. I think when men see other men worship it gives them freedom to worship without feeling emasculated.” Throughout the broadcast, Hurd is seen leading the congregation in song and sharing the stage with his musical peers such as Jason Nelson, Deonte Gary, Anthony Brown and Anthony Evans who was recently featured on the NBC televised singing competition, “The Voice.”This idea that worship has become feminized and uncomfortable for men is not anything new. This conversation have been taking place for a couple of years now. But this is the first time I've seen it address by a man of color.

“If Elijah was at the door and he was black, you would call 911 and say there’s a n****r at the door, claiming he’s Elijah! Send the police!” exclaimed Farrakhan, then explained that it is “because you are not trained to accept wisdom from a black person, no matter how wise that black person is…Jesus was a black man.”I am a Christian who believe in the risen Christ and I respect the Minister but he is wrong and mistaken. Jesus and his His Apostles were Jews. In almost every written documentation Jesus is describe as a Jew. Some folks agree with Minister Farrakhan in saying that Jesus is a Black Man. The video I have below makes it more fun and interesting in why Jesus could possible be a black man.

Unwed gospel singer Le’Andria confirmed speculation that she is expecting her fourth child in September. On Tuesday she release a casual, unconcerned response to her gullible, naive, deceived and tricked fans. It's oblivious in Le'Andria statement that her music ministry is more about her than the body of Christ. The response this chick have offered is one void of feeling and care without an attitude of repentance. I remember back when Cross Movement drop the artist Ambassador for moral failure in his marriage. And the artist Da' Truth came under fire for the same thing. Da' Truth took a sabbatical from music ministry to deal with the sin issue. I applauded both Cross Movement and Da 'Truth for issuing such a wonderful and powerful statements to the body of Christ. Le'Andria statement is one of disgust!

May 25 is when a southwest DeKalb High School will have it graduation. But a STAR student said she will not attend her own graduation since it's being held at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. Nahkoura Mahnassi, 16, and her mother, Alisha Brown, said it's a poor choice on the schools part because not everyone is a Christian and they feel like the ceremony should be held at the school or at a neutral venue like the Georgia Dome. On Easter Sunday, Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church defined Mormons as not being Christians. In which I will say every born again believer already know. So, my question is if Rmoney is the GOP nominee, will real Christians vote for him?
"Well, the key sticking point for evangelicals and actually for many is the issue of the Trinity. Orthodox Christians, Catholic Christians, Protestant Christians, evangelical Christians and Pentecostal Christians all believe in the Trinity; that’s the historic doctrine of the church, that God is three-in-one. Not three gods; one God in Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Mormonism denies that. That’s a sticking point for a lot of Catholic Christians, evangelical Christians, Pentecostal Christians, because they don’t — they don’t believe that. Now they’ll use the same terminology, but they don’t believe in the historic doctrine of the Trinity. And people have tried to make it other issues. But that’s really one of the fundamental differences. "
I understand the point that Rick Warren is making here. There are beliefs stated in Mormonism that are seriously at odds with what Christians have traditionally believe, therefore it would exclude Mormons from being defined as Christians by mainstream Christian churches. Question: Will Evangelicals Vote For Mitt Rmoney, Even If He's Not A Christian?

Do you believe in the soul mate concept? Is the soul mate concept biblical? Is the soul mate concept used as an excuse for divorce? Do you believe it's possible for your soul mate to be married to someone else? Is it possible to have more than one soul mate? I ask these questions in honesty. After reading where Alicia keys did an interview with Vibe Magazine for their May edition. An in the interview Alicia state she knew the moment she met Swizz Beatz, they were soul mates.
On Madame Noire Face book page they are discussing the concept and idea of a soul mate. But, what I find interesting about the conversation is the idea people think someone else spouse can be their soul mate. How can another woman husband be your soul mate? The most common idea of a “soul mate” is that for every person, there is another person who is a “perfect fit,” and if you marry anyone other than this soul mate, you will never be happy. So, what do you think? Do you believe in the concept and idea of a soul mate ?
Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus. It is the most solemn day in the Christian calendar. The dates of Good Friday, which vary each year, occur between March 20th and April 23rd. It falls on the last Friday before Easter. It is the pinnacle of the Holy Week. All Christians observe this day with great humility and reverence. Article Here!

Season three “Sunday Best” winner, Le’Andria Johnson, is expecting a baby. The twice-divorced, single mother of three is apparently three months pregnant with her fourth child and not married. The comment I have posted below the break is one of many that I found very interesting while reading the article about Ms. Johnson. This particular commenter seems to be some what angry in his response. The commenter is really implying folks are not bold enough in their faith to call sin, sin and wrong, wrong.
I got three questions (1) What does it look like for this young lady to be a gospel artist trying to lead others to Christ, but she's pregnant out of wedlock? (2) Why do people waved the banner “do not judge” when sin is pointed out and call sin according to scripture? (3) Is HOLINESS still a requirement in the body of Christ? If not mistaken this young lady is being groom to be the next big thing in gospel music.
Today Maundy Thursday or Holy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter that commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles as described in the gospels. Holy Thursday, or Maundy Thursday, commemorates the institution of the Eucharist, a Christian sacrament that involves consecrating (or making holy) bread and wine. The term “Maundy” derives from the Latin word for “commandment”. The New Testament in the bible describes events that took place on Holy Thursday. These events include Jesus washing his disciples’ feet and the Last Supper before he was arrested. Many Maundy Thursday church traditions come from practices that took place in Europe for many centuries. Article Here!
