Should Voters Pick The President Like A Church Picks It Senior Pastor?

I read the comment above on a message board and it got me to thinking.....would I myself being a christian vote for a (Mitt Romney) Mormon candidate for presidency?.....my answer is yes I believe I  would vote for a Mormon if that person was the best candidate for the job....the reality is that the office of the President is a political and governmental office, and it shouldn't have anything to do with one religion....it's not a good thing when a persons religion becomes the primary reason that a person votes for or doesn't vote for a candidate...a candidate political record and their platform should be the main deciding factors in whether to vote for them or not.
