I believe the New Yorker cover is disrespectful to what Steve Jobs believe in as a Buddhist....I'm sure that they meant well.....The New Yorker has released its October 17 edition of its magazine in a tribute cover of Steve Jobs....in a blog post The New Yorker shows that the cover will depict Steve Jobs standing at the pearly gates with Saint Peter using an iPad to see if he will be admitted to heaven or not....some Buddhist and Christians are offended by this....but this is the problem for me it's like saying every path leaves to heaven.....Steve was a practicing Buddhist who did not believe in the concept of heaven.....In Buddhism, there is no heaven, but a similar concept is that of Nirvana..... Buddhist religion believes that after re-incarnations, a person's soul will ascend to a higher realm free of suffering. Question did The New Yorker disrespect Steve Jobs faith with the cover?
