Gospel Connoisseur and others are reporting that Bishop T.D Jakes is set to co-produce another movie later in the year.....This time around "The Bishop" will be working with Joe Roth, former chairman of 20th Century Fox and Walt Disney Studios.... Jakes next ventures will be tackling
New York Times #1 Bestseller, Heaven Is for Real: A Little Boy’s Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back.
I am surprise and some what disappointed in "The Bishop" for making or endorsing a movie like this.....I believe these false spiritual experiences undermine God's word.....For those who don’t have a biblical foundation for understanding the promise of heaven and eternal life......A movie like this that's endorse and produce by a popular pastor like "The Bishop" could actually be destructive......I believe movies and books that deal with personal experiences are more inclined to lead people away from
JESUS the gospel that leads to heaven.....Movies and books of this nature also tend to disregard repentance for rebellion against God and submission to Christ on this side of eternity to have any hope of experiencing heaven.
Question: With Bishop Jakes endorsing and making this movie do that make it more “theologically sound?”
