I got an email from someone asking for advice on how to find a church....They didn't go into any details...No more that they think the time has come for them to find another place of worship.
I'm aware that some Christians move from one church to another like the wind blowing....They can have a minor or personal disagreement and it can send them to a new church across town....Then there's the "loyalty at any price" Christian, who clings to the church of his birth or of his choice even through bad doctrinal error....I believe today's generation shop for church like they shop for a car -- what are the special features, how is the decor, how's the sound and most of all--"what can they do for me?"
Search The Scriptures...Is Jesus Christ preached ?The heart of the Christian faith is Jesus Christ. I believe if what you're hearing from the pulpit is not lining up with what "you read" in the Bible? You should fellowship else where....Do the church reject clear Bible teachings? If so you should fellowship elsewhere....If the man of GOD begin making decisions that increasingly put his own interests before the needs of the congregation....You should fellowship elsewhere....Those factors should influence our decision more than anything else...what a church teaches ought to reflect what the Scriptures teach...The source of Christian belief is the Word of God.
I believe it's our responsibility to get it right, not the pastor's who got to answer for his own error....God's Word is plain to those who want to understand! And I believe there's a number of churches who teach Bible.
