Rima Fakih, 24, of Dearborn, Michigan, was crowned Miss USA on Saturday night....According to Ms. Fakih her family celebrates both the Christian and Muslim faiths...Which I just don't believe is possible!Now one could be a Christian and respect a Muslim’s faith without embracing it....One could be a Muslim and respect a Christian’s faith without embracing it....But the theological terms of the two faith are contradictory I would say...I just don't believe one could be a Christian and a Muslim at the same time...You're either with or against one of the faith...You can't embrace both at the same time.That said, I cannot embrace Jesus and Muhammad at the same time... I cannot receive Jesus Christ as God’s only begotten son and the only Lord and Savior AND heap the highest honors on Muhammad at the same time.... If I accept the truth of Jesus being the only way to God and the only name under heaven by which one can be saved from sin, then I cannot ascribe the same saving powers to Muhammad ....If I am a Christian I cannot accept the way of Islam as being a true way to God and salvation....So, I just don’t get how her family can celebrates both “faiths” at once...Question:What do you think? I am I missing something?
