Have you ever been in a church service were people actual throw money at the preacher? Beside being a distraction I think it's demonic...Now I always wonder were this practice originated from....Could the practices have had it start in the clubs of America? The strip clubs to be precise. If so how did it find it way into the church construct?

I was listening to Dr. Gary L. William of The F
irst Baptist Church of Mandarin mention this exact thing in a sermon the other day...He said this practice is very similar to throwing money at strippers when they are entertaining on stage. I could not help but really ponder that statement ... So the practice of throwing money at the preacher and the idea of throwing money at a stripper is one in the same....Both action arise from the same place,"the flesh".....THINK ABOUT IT! It makes sense..... In a strip club a dancer is rewarded for a right move...A preacher for a right word....Both are rewarded with money being thrown at them....So when people throw money on the altar to show appreciation for a word they are in effect trying to pay God for His services just like you would a stripper for her services....So where did this idea come from....We know that material things mean NOTHING to God! You cannot show appreciation to God by giving Him material things. The only way that we can directly show appreciation to God is by righteous living, by obedience and through praise and worship.
