"I
won't complain" used to be one of those anchor songs you could here in almost any black church back in the day....I was always amaze thinking how folks could mange to go through life without complaining....I know some might say, “but isn’t it possible that some complaints might be legitimate?” The answer would be Yes! but that don't make it OK....Again you might ask what about injustice, abuse, betrayal, robbery, gossip, etc....Yes! These are good reasons to complain...But I have learn as Christians we are called to be salt and light in a dying world...It's hard to be a light and complaining at the same time....Any way aren't we suppose to solve problems that arise in life by practicing spiritual principles on a daily bases?....I know if you are like me to do nothing at the time makes it seems like I don't care....But complaining about it is not doing any thing either, especially not by Jesus definition....I know and believe that Jesus is against us complaining...So when I here that song I wonder how do other Christians handle a "legitimate complaint?”
(1) Do they do nothing till they first talked with Jesus?
(2) Do they complain first then talk to Jesus after they finish complaining?
