The Black Church has historically been a source of hope and strength for the African American community.
Unfortunately, I only saw the top clip. And that was depraved enough. It was sickening that all the black sisters could muster up was sexuality. Michael Jackson said keep it the closet, and that's where there nasty talk belonged. I was glad when the canceled that Oh Drama mess! I'm sure the brother sold BET for money and not out of moral conviction but that was tasteless drivel. I've said before Johnson sold the thing, and it goes double now. BET is nothing more than Black Exploitation Television. Since the news programming departing years ago, as well as the political conversations this once Black Television Station has sunken to an all time low. Special thanks to Viacomm. Why more African Americans aren't outraged is beyond me.
Whew, Sis. JJ that was pretty rough. I'm not sure what I think about this set of video. I can see some value for a certain population of women, but I think there were too many participants to get a clear understanding of the view points if they were trying to share a viewpoint.
Soul Theologian i agree Bob Johnson used his own people for profit. Lovable they were talking over each other. My question why would a woman of God appear on a show about sex. I just remember money, trying to sell her book no more sheets.
JJ,You nailed it. Book sells. Plain any simple.
Oh yes, this is definitely going up on my weblog.
My only hope is that she regretted doing that show because I regretted looking at it. May God have mercy!!!
I liked the show 'Oh Drama'. I used to tune into it and I found it very entertaining; they should have kept the show going.I believe what they talked about was very interesting. I am not mad at them for discussing sex over religion, because sex is just as powerful as religion.MARCUS LANGFORD
I guess the ONLY problem with these clips is there are too many strong women trying to make a point at the same time, thus over talking each other; they should have had some type organized debate instead of this irritating verbal squabble.MARCUS LANGFORD
Thanks Marcus for your comment. Really you can not understand what their view is, they are talking over each other.
Commenting is a privilege, not a right.
